  1. Agreed, strange indeed, had a lot of the right attributes but looked like he couldn't be arsed in most games. Maybe should have had more tonic with his lemonade?
  2. Yes I did see that but assumed it was some other player called Lemina, not the one who played for Saints. Getting into the box and scoring was not his forte at Saints if I recall correctly.
  3. Yes that is what I meant, not the same player as he was when he was younger and had that extra yard.
  4. Saints in Champions League 03/10/26. Kevin Danso - Ralph was right, now we know why he would not pick him. Sulemano - Still fast, still no end product. Livramento - Good to see him back, needs to press on to get a WC spot. VVD - How the mighty have fallen. Did I miss anyone?
  5. Watched WBA vs Middlesbrough, a good game with a 90 th minute winner. But the first goal for Middlesbrough was a Charlie Taylor own goal, and it was a classic, rebound off the post that he cleared into his own net.
  6. Couldn't tell if it was bad or not, just couldn't figure out where the defenders were? Was it just me?
  7. Scienza wacked on the nose hard in the warmup! Was it Fellows trying to ensure the never on the pitch together record is maintained?
  8. Indeed 3-2 down with a red card. Birmingham scored from four on target shots taken, and to be honest it looked like the Brum player took a dive for the sending off.
  9. As the commentator said very accurately "THB Dangerous at both ends"
  10. Agree with the analysis. Wonder if Tonda should surprise some teams, by turning it upside down with a low block defensive line up for the first half. If we can keep a clean sheet to half time then bring the attacking formation on. Which makes it more of a "can you outscore us over the last 45 scenario" Rather than we score all our goals in the first half then go into our defensive shell?
  11. Not sure never seen him take one, Finn is another candidate, but I assume they practice in training so next up is whoever has the best %.
  12. Nope at this point change for another man, a man with a 1/5 penalty rate takes no more penalties. Whoever's next best in training gets to step up.
  13. Well, I thought the contract itself defined number and duration of contract extensions. If you are correct then fine. But IMO he will be ahead of two out of the four on your list before the end of the season.
  14. Truthfully based on what we saw in the Charlton game, and what Tonda said about him, I think he gets further game time for the first team this season and next. Which will make him a target for other teams at the end of that extension, a new contract would ensure a better value in that scenario.
  15. What I read, was not a new contract, but SFC had an extension clause for a year which they exercised. Really wish it was a new contract.

But which of the ones below Arma in the list is closer to 6 ft "athletic profile" and wants to be part of a prolific partnership and whose club will take a good cash offer in January, that is what Saints need to identify. Arma needs a foil, Archer is not the correct profile so it's either find the right match in the Championship or get Che back from Italy. (BTW very suspicious number of PR planted items about Che and his time at Saints cropping up lately).
  17. Agreed. As the previous incumbent couldn't figure out how to play well against teams that leave space, he should get credit for that. It clearly isn't a given, must have been partly due to his coaching and tactics?
  18. Agree with the second point he has played like a passenger, not sure if that can be fixed. But I have seen take some chances well.
  19. If an experienced manager is appointed he will get more slack? Somehow I doubt that. The teams improvement has been dramatic, surely he has credit in the bank?
  20. Yes I was/am one of the "some" and I still feel that way, but of course LOVE ❤️ to be proven wrong.
  21. Yes I wondered if Aribo was being "put in the shop window", if so I think it should be stopped because it has to be impacting his value in a negative way.
  22. Checked on Scienza and looks like although born in Brazil and therefore eligible, looks like at one point he opted for Luxembourg, not sure if that makes him ineligible for Brazil or not. "Because his ancestors held Luxembourgish citizenship, Scienza was able to become a naturalized citizen. However, according to FIFA regulations, he would have to live in the Grand Duchy for five years to have any chance of playing for the FLF national team. "I would be willing to give up my Brazilian citizenship if I could play for Luxembourg," he told the Tageblatt newspaper four years ago."
  23. Not sure if Archer could play like that I have seen no indications from him. In that scenario I think Tonda will tweak the tactics somewhat to play to Archers strengths as a very efficient finisher and get the ball to him earlier so that he can run directly behind the defense.
  24. Correct. He does have the record number of yellow cards, a record which surprisingly he took from MLT.
  25. As they should.
