It was meant as a wall pass back to Dibling (I think it was Dibling), and it fell to Mara, who, to be fair, tucked it away nicely. Sometimes, you get lucky breaks; Mara was in the right place, though, so full points for that.

Did Nathan Tella play in a losing Saints side or has he not played for a losing side all season, he must be enjoying that if it the case!
-
Is there a professional sports team currently with a longer unbeaten run? I'm in a bar where they flashed up Edmonton Oilers 16 game win streak, I gave it the obligatory yawn, but hence the❓
-
Correct
-
Nope live on ESPN+ in the US 7 am West Coast and 4 am East Coast I think.
-
Agreed my only point Tella wasn't a Saints academy product. Would like to think the club also did the right thing by the player, he obviously wanted the opportunity to play in the Bundeslegia and raise his profile and possibly follow a Bellignham style career trajectory. But a really close call, promotion worth > $20 million, but was his breakout season at Burnley a freak, guess only time will tell. He scored a barnstorming breakaway goal to open his account at Leverkusen.
-
Aresenals academy if I recollect correctly.

At one point on saturday the QPR right back decided it was better to sit down and admire the view as Edoize twisted and turned. Edoize should get a bonus for every RB he sits down.

Think ABK and Sulemana are recovering from injuries (supposedly) so might well have to prove their fitness before anyone is prepared to offer a contract. Guess Saints coud loan them to reduce wages, but probably better to keep them at least until Xmas window. If they play well Saints could get extra points and their value will increase. ABK from what I saw is a PL level player so if his shoulder is repaired would be worth keeping if promotion looks viable, rumaours of him going to a Geram club make sense. Sulemana who knows, only really had one good game when the pressure was off, if Saints could get a little more than they paid for him I think it might be best to ship him on with a sell on in case he turns into a valuable asset.
-
Good lord, did Saints donate the black box to them at the end of its useful life?
-
He would be about the average age of the Barcelona team that played in Sunday's game, could fit there also. Plus have a pal in the team!
-
Depends on many variables but against teams like SW the first two and one of the second two. Against teams like Norwich the second two and on of the first two. Decent problem to have if Saints get lucky! Plus Saints best be in the top six by Xmas or a PL team plunk serious cash down for Alcaraz and he might be more tempted?
-
Yes I love Alcaraz, but for two of the Norwich goals he seemed to stand and watch in the build up as they ran by him with the ball. Not blaming him for the goals but he could put much more effort in to get tighter and/or put a tackle in. Bring back Elyonussi (JK in case anyone in doubt)
-
Alcaraz from the left Manning from the right. Lyanco, if from anywhere else on earth that doesn't include St Mary's stadium. (Liiving in hope).
-
Yep the stats back this up if teams do not get back the first season the stay extends to 4-5 seasons on average if I recall correctly, and some way longer to infinity and beyond!
-
Based on the SW game yes, KWP, Tella, Alcarez & Manning are must keeps, of those a maximum of two will stay if Saints are lucky . In the SW game there were also some should keeps Edozie, JS, JB, Adams and Smallbone, also from the injured list ABK and Sulemana. Of the should keeps I doubt more than 50% will stay and based on the Gillingham game Saints should keep the U21's. Which leads to about 5-6 more outgoing and I expect only 3 incoming to reduce the playing squad, plus however many of the players from the Gillingham game can be offloaded. Maybe Saints should have Nathan Redmond speak to the un-sellable players from the Gillingham game about a viable way back to the Premier League 😀. Good luck Nathan, I may designate Burnley as my Premier League team just because of the fine example you have set, and I am a gluten for punishment. Could watching Burnley defend for survival before Dhyce gets the sack be worse than watching every Saints game last season, it is a really tough call for sure!
-
Problem is being understudy deosn't develop a keeper, he will need regular game time to develop so a loan would be required. Problem there is the loan would need to be to a club at least our current level so subsidising a compettitor really. Maybe a loan outisde of the Cham\PL would be the best option?
-
Ah OK yeah by that point he had checked out.
-
Yes I was there, he seemed to be playing well until the injury. Agree that the injury may have made VVD think about the risk\reward of injury versus income stream and combined with being tapped up this changed his outlook. But I feel blaming VVD for a poor perfromance in a game in which he was injured is not realistic and like I say up until that point he was performing well.
-
Was that the one where Vardy stamped on VVD's ankle? Which delayed the transfer not sure he cna be blamed for that.
-
Love the sentiment, but as discussed elsewhere goalkeepers from the academy are very, very rare. As in any profession you pay for experience, not being willing to pay for that experience leads to a less than satisfactory experience.
-
Not really, would be interested to see that stats, but I would guess Redmond had a better score\assist rate than Ely, and IMO his off the ball work was equal.
-
Sad if true, he looks like a great prospect from the games he played. Given the injuries he has had, can only hope he kicks on and has a career like Luke Shaw's. Playing for a big club and England. Not exactly the same I know because Tino wasn't a product of Saints academy and his injuries were earlier in his career, but looks to have the same exciting raw talent, Tino is less physical but looks to be technically better then Luke Shaw was at the same age.
-
Well as the selling club, if the prices are matched we sell, take the cash, and find the next KWP\Tino meanwhile we get to see if Bree can cut the mustard. He was highly rated in the championship if I recall correctly, is he a Russell ball player doesn't look like it from what I saw.

Plaque will need to include that of the 9 only three were starters and none of the nine scored. That is a typical Saints achievement, bloated squad, none of whom could score in the proverbial brothel.
