  1. Agreed, for a player with a chance to stick it to his former employer, he could not have looked less interested or motivated. Strange.
  2. Think your point about Valery was already pretty clear, his inability to position himself correctly when playing as a full back, and some other things have already told us as much. Yes he has some natural ability and pace, Ralph has been persistent with him, but I am guessing this might be the final straw and we will not being seeing him again, unless we find ourselves left with only 11 fit players, think most of the U23 squad will be ahead of him for future game time.
  3. If a champ sides comes in for him, would he take the drop for more game time? Wwould he want it, or is he at a point in his career where he would rather bench warm and get occasional minutes, same for Walcott I guess?
  4. Covid after effects can be substantial, his game is built on stamina, seems like the combined effects of Covid and injury (meaning less fitness training) have taken a toll on his stamina.

To me Nathan Tella signing a new contract immediately after the deal was announced was a good indication\example of this being the case.
  6. Yep I think that is my forward line Grealish, Vardy, Zaha, would be shit show every game but fun to watch?
  7. Interesting challenge can I put a whole team together? In goal Jordan Pickford for that and many other moments when he has a rush of blood to the head. Backline would include Micheal Keen for a really bad tackle on Jake Hesketh when Keen played for Burnley, Ben Chilwell for roughing up Jan Valery. Midfield Jack Wilshere for getting Jack Stephens sent off. Attack Jamie Vardy for many things but including the stamp on VVD.
  8. Actually I remember a few astute posters pointing out that he did meet a key requirement for a Southampton manager viz current lack of gainful employment and therefore no compensation required. Why is this important? Well based upon social media and being in a similar situation step forward Frank Lampard. Will he make a positive difference, I am not sure, but at the moment any difference positive or negative will work for me. Seeing the same plan fail week after week is getting very old.
  9. Yes that is the most mystifying thing this season just WTF happens at half time? Seems in the first half things look promising, there is a plan and energy is being expended in pursuit of a positive outcome. Then it all goes to hell in a hand basket second half.
  10. Correct something has to give. Think Ralph choosing to wear a suit in the rain was a telling metaphor. Either nobody dared tell him that wasn't a good idea, or they did and he just didn't listen and made a bad call. This seems to be recurring pattern in his team selection and game management, there maybe three worse teams in the league not sure there are three worse managers anymore.
  11. FYI Kasey Keller is a pundit on us TV, but then again so are Shaka Hislop and Tim Howard so maybe some relevant options?
  12. Don't tell me Harry is the Schlong of the Fighting Cock's!
  13. Did you see either of the bore score draws the night before Saints game? I did, and my conclusion is that the teams likely to get relegated play games trying not to lose. Both Saints and Leicester played to win, a much higher risk reward strategy! Strap in, enjoy the ride! You have to admit it's at least more fun than the Puel defensive masterclasses?
  14. Be not a 19 year old learning his trade? Did Broja coming on make a difference? If the answer to both is no I think the question is answered?
  15. Really? Stats and my viewing of the games he has played so far for SFC tells me he is in the top ten defenders in the league this season, which is not bad for a player his age! If he continues on his current trajectory you are going to regret this posting. But there is an upside, if he goes on to play further up, then maybe you will have been correct in a really strange way?
  16. Great half-time entertainment on NBC, deep dive into that game!
  17. That is an interesting twist a Spurs supporter who doesn't think Kane walks on water!
  18. But nice response from Harry Kane on Twitter who offered to host them if they get a chance to come see a home game.

Does he live in a castle, with a girlfriend called Ingrid?
  20. Yes indeed if Sheff Utd walked through it, dread to think what the Chelsea second string might do? Forster best be ready for anything.
  21. Also what everybody seems to forget is that Ralph's wife had just been cleared after failing a COVID test, a period during which he continued to work remotely. So given that context I suspect most of us might have shed a few tears, including Lord D, although I suspect he is a Pony bot so maybe not?
  22. Interesting I guess a few went on to play some more European games, guess Van Dijk the most, closely followed by Tadic, then Davis and Forster a little while on loan?
  23. Plus guaranteed bonus when they let you go at the end of the season, after 12 months or any point before end of agreed contract.
  24. We have several "affordable gems' unfortunately two are at right back Tino and KWP, will be interesting to see how this gets resolved. Then both Salisu and Diallo are heading in that direction. Problem is they are all on the defensive side. In attack Lets hope for a breakout season for Tella and Broja, though I doubt the later will be in the affordable gem category (for Saints at least).
  25. Just looked it up and that has to be a six figure minimum investment by Leeds to get him back to the UK on an exec jet from South America. Lot of money to spend if they do not expect him to feature in the game. Well I guess split with the other clubs involved but even then a pretty large investment for someone who is not played. Update other players are with Chelsea and Man City so Leeds probably didn't have to spend a penny!
