When I read that the strip was going to be about being bold and brave, I thought we were going to be relaunching the Pride one from last year. But we're nearly half way through Pride month and nuffink.

I think it was the Price of Football this week(I think, I was half asleep at the time) that came out with Pep having a 100-110m a year net spend and Plucky Waif Klopp having one of about £28m per year (thanks to canny transfer business that state owned clubs, thanks to their funding models, don't have to bother about.) So for Klopp to be getting close to City is nothing short of a miracle, I guess it was about to say, but I fell asleep.

Did Bobby Moore play at full back too?! If not, doing Chambers and Valery a disservice there. 🙂

I'm fairly sure someone at the club said that they were also looking at this as a recruitment strategy. Trying to get a Sancho while at Watford or a Bellingham while at Birmingham, along with getting the top Academy talent from bigger clubs, and offering them a pathway too. Ankersen helping us use the Brighton/ Brentford method of recognising value/ particular traits in players adds another strand. With our own youth players and players already here, we've got the basis of a proactive, robust strategy.

I caught Alex Crook offering his in depth, technical opinion on Gareth Southgate and England's tactics tho other day on the radio. You too can have a media career if you spout utter nonsense rumours for long enough. I thought they'd stop him to ask random passers by for their in depth, technical opinions too, but nope.

Did we sign promising youngster McCann, 40, after (or a season after) a move for Javier De Pedro fell through? I vaguely recall De Pedro getting a bad injury at some point after that, and his career fizzling out. But my memory cell might be playing up there.

Extra care is being taken to make sure the sponsors logo doesn't fall off. 🙂
