  1. I remember n ale festival I was at for 3 evenings. On the second one, there was an orange blossom specialty one. That was me, until it ran out. Very much because I'd not being likely to see it again soon, like you said.
  2. Ramsdale KWP THB Bedders Taylor Downes Fernandes Dibling Armstrong BBD, Fraser Mins for Lallana, Sugawara, Aribo, Les, Archer
  3. Somewhere in the stands... Jason Wilcox has a meltdown... Wants his new team to win...yet wants them to get hammered by a possession focused team he had a hand in shaping. Wants Ten Haag to implement his ideas, yet wants him thumped to be replaced by someone very much like Martin. This indecision filters through their club, as they also realise they were nothing without McTominay. A team caught between two systems, while caring for only themselves. Fraser and AA show the work rate required, driving at a shaky United defence, that leaves us plenty of space. Archer comes on to get a third for Saints, who mistakenly think all sides are going to give them that much room to pass through.
  4. Well done! Probably for the best you don't eat babies generally, for lots of reas...wait... I read that wrong... 🙂
  5. Yup. It was draft, and I didn't bother straying to try anything else. A favourite, when I see it.
  6. The people I know who aren't already decided for this one, are mostly those uninvolved in the whole thing. Mind you, that applies to pretty much everyone over here, commentating on it. So, we're no different. 🙂
  7. I thought the Ralph playbook was going to have much the same impact across the club. While SR weren't there for all of that, I think it was something they bought into for good reasons, from the start. But it shows that they're willing to make significant adjustments to it, and then jettison it. I was going to say, "if they felt it was needed". But by "needed", it was trying to stop us getting relegated. And they went through enough systems, that I'm not convinced they have one that they value above all others. 4 managers in their 4 seasons of involvement. On achieving success, it depends on what is considered to be a success. If that's sustainability in the PL, then the current approach, has only got us promoted, with a chance of starting that. Too early to tell if it will work.
  8. How often will he be able to convince Dragan that his new, innovative, left field idea is a sure fire success, while standing in the rubble of all his previous sure fire successes? Perhaps Wilcox will get the blame, if they switch away from this one.
  9. This week I has been mostly drinking... Titanic's Plum Porter. Edit: Not to be typed after a few pints of it, to avoid typing a Titanic Porter's Plums. 🙂
  10. Lawrie getting a couple of appearances (keeping this Saints related) 🙂 Pearl & Dean is also versatile. Here it's combined with Led Zeppelin....
  11. Keeping the cinema theme, I'm all for the national anthem being replaced by Pearl & Dean.
  12. Not been watching. Are they playing a possession game with quick passing through midfield, to get the best out of Will?
  13. "Last Orders!"
  14. You are what you are. That's what you are. 🙂
  15. Quality of goals, quantity of possession. The best of both. 🙂
  16. He's heard that there's an up and coming manager, who instead of being welded to a system, "loses his nut" when his team concedes. Apparently, this front footed aggressive manager plays to TP's strengths, and could be considered by SR. 🙂
  17. Scotland just equalised against Bedders rattled Poland.
  18. Photos are back...
  19. While, it's not my favourite, I've seen merit in Martin's control of games. The control of games to increase the effectiveness of our attacks has looked really good. It's looked as though we controlled the risks in how we played. There's also been times when that possession has led to plenty of chances. With a weaker squad than most, there's an argument that playing in a similar way to them will just lead to defeat. Martin's system, like Ralph's and Poch's looks to get more out of the players, using something a bit different ( complete with giant flaws when they don't work) As pointed out, it does have to show a chance of actually working in the PL though. Changes to come. Martin did say "how" when it came to putting in new players. We might get something different. Still within Plan A, of course.
  20. I'm sure I saw Bruno Fernandes in there, getting in some over-reacting practice.
  21. I thought Edozie was trying different things this season, and was developing. Massive caveat that the end product wasn't there. Also, someone posted on the end product of SAA. Gio terms it impact, and Dibling can be added to that too. Sam's overall game has improved. If he can keep that work going and get that end product (I'd argue our system isn't massive helper in some respects there, but far from being the only reason) then he'll hopefully do really well for us later on.
  22. And that formation might be that of our opponents. 1 line of 5 hugging one touchline, and 1 line of 6 on the other. Obviously, we'd have to pass our way through the large central gap, so maybe 2-0 to us? 🙂
