I like this look of this lad. At 6m (or there abouts), it feels like a bit of a no brainer / low risk gamble. He can't be anyworse than Mara.

I don't see how we get both in the side. Both look incredibly similar imo. Neither good enough to play through the middle and both like cuttting in from the left.

If we let Charles go, we'll need to replace him. His replacement will need to be good enough to fill in when needed (Downes injury record is questionable) but have an acceptance that all being well, they'll be on the bench for 90% of games. Better the devil you know imo. I'd keep Charles...

All depends on how long McKenna is there. If Chelsea or United dont get off to the start they want and ipswich are doing alright, I suspect they'll come knocking. I think Chelsea will struggle again this season

Apparently Arsenal are willing to let Nketiah go, which if true, is a deal we should absoutely be all over. The sort of player we should be looking at and ones that have been a big success for us in the past (Bertrand, KWP, Romeu, Ings). Premier leauge experience for big clubs, but not able quite able to nail down a regular starting spot. I'd imagine you'd be looking at £25m+, but I think he'd be a great signing for a huge number of sides in this leauge.

Personally, I think the role he finished the season in (box to box, advanced 8, 10 whatever you want to call it) where he was further up the pitch, suited him. I'm not sure he has the quality to push on in the PL, but between him and Aribo, if we can get some quality in along side them, will be enough.

If we're gonna move towards a 352, I'd love to see him played as one of the 2 and given a free role to float. Alcaraz and a fit stewart could be a real handful for any side next season imo.

its been a good start to the window so far imo. I think Wood was a total waste of money, but at £3m, its low risk and solid option for next year if we fail to stay up. However, I think we're probably only on par with how the season ended in terms of starting 11 strength. We're a keeper (ramsdale wold be a dream), CM (Ditto for O'riely) and a number 9 away from being really competative, imo.

Currently we have; Stephens, THB, Janny B, Wood, Edwards + ABK (atlhough he's obviously off) who can play CB. There's no way we're playing a LB at CB and a RB at LB. KWP is off (providing we find a buyer) and rightly so if he wont sign a new deal.

Because we're a nation full of loosers. Southagate epitomises that. For me, give Carsely the job until the end of the next season - at that point, test the water with Ancolotti, if that fails pep, if that fails Tuchel. We don't currently have any homegrown managers ready to take us to the next level. If we have to pick one, potter or Oneil - anyone but Howe.

devils advocate, whilst I agree we should have performed better tahn we have, I'd take boring 1-0 wins from now until the final. generally speaking, cadgey, defensive football is what wins these things.

I thought that Nathan Wood was absoultely shite when I saw him last season, but really excited about Edwards. Exactly the sort of profile we should be looking at. I do hope we're not replacing someone like Bednerak, with these 2 though - bednerak has his limitations, but was solid last season and is vastly more experienced... it would be a massive risk.

Given the seagulls are starting follow the trawler, I think its time we throw them a sardine, Turks.
