  1. You don't n half talk some shite. Cornet, if signed, isn't coming in to play wing back.
  2. He doesn't want to be here. If he wanted to be here, he'd be first choice. It'll be interesting to see if he doesn't go, how soon it'll be before he's in the side though. Gut says he'll move on loan to the contenent though.
  3. Unless you are part of the COT. We called it weeks ago
  4. has Nketiah moved on yet? Surely as the window draws closer, Arsenal will budge - possibly a loan with option...?
  5. We dont need him, but hes an improvement on Aribo and Smallbone and on freekicks alone, will get us more goals that the 2 of those combined. If we can agree a loan deal for him, as long as its not at the detriment of us bringing in a number 9, I'd say its a no brainer. If anything, his leadership and experience of 'digging in' during a relegation battle will be worth the loan fee alone.
  6. 'Always' going on...
  7. tbf I think I got it wrong myself. Its 3 continuous years before they're 21 (from what I can see). So Bellingham as an example, would be a 'homegrown' player should he return. Someone like Larios would also be considered a homegrown player... In short, its a bit of nonsense really.
  8. I think you're missunderstanding what the 'homegrown' rule means. Its basically anyone who's been at an english club since they were 18, its got nothing to do with them playing for the clubs academy.

In the absence of a clear out and out number 9, I'd play them all. A bit like we did when we had Alcaraz in the false 9 against leeds. Suga THB Bednerak KWP Downes Les (Smallbone) Fernandes (Aribo) Dibbling (Lallana) Archer (AA) BBD (Sulemana)
  10. Same can be said about the links to Fraser. Absolutely no benefit / value / need in us making a move for him.
  11. I can't help but think who else we might have been able to sign (i.e would the extra £4m made a difference to getting O'riely, as an example), had we not wasted money on Wood. Bloke looks abaolsutely useless.

Yeah agreed. Not just the shinpads, he carries the ball like Grealish did in his early years as well.
  14. perhaps I'm not dissapointed by us not going balls deep on a keeper who has a questionable playing record.
  15. If only we had a 6'7" target man, with a decent goal scoring record for every team hes player for..... knowing old Russ, if we did, he'd play without a number 9 and not even put him on the bench
  16. Almost like siging a player who's hardly been able to get on the pitch due to injuries isn't the best idea. Who'd have thought it
  17. well, well, well. Just after this post it becomes public that the keeper has failed a medical. COT strike again and some of you doubt us.
  18. a VERY interesting message has just come through in the whatsapp group!
  19. 99% of what is posted in the transfer thread doesn't come true, where as COT have hit every nail on the head. Quality over quantity as some might say.
  20. We should have signed him last year imo. Good player.
  21. He doesn't want to come back. Or at least didn't at the start of the window. Move on from Ings.
  22. Play a strong side imo, with a few changes to protect most important players / give others (edwards / dibbling) a chance to shine. Should be no fatugie concerns this early on and we need to find something. McCarthy Suga THB Bednerak Edwards Taylor Lesley Fernandes Dibbling Archer BBD
  23. That's alright, none of our other keepers use their wrists to save the ball either.
  24. Well he played for Slot last season, who's style is very similar to ours, so this would make sense. Poor Feynoord, they've have been ripped apart this season!
  25. I'm fairly relaxed about the GK situation, I'm certain we will find an upgrade, I just think there are a number of things that need to fall in place. Ramsdale would be the ideal one, but he is obviously in demand - understandbly so. He is the main peice in the jigsaw and it'll come down to Arsenal's demands lowering, which is why it'll happen towards the end of the window (imo). Liverpool are supposidly close to agreeing a deal for the Georgian keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. The plan for him is to loan him out for a season, with Bmouth being toutted. If Bmouth get Ramsdale, that leaves Mamardashvili free (hes brilliant - or at least was in the euros). Wolves have Sa. Neither are going to accept sitting on the bench or being used in a rotation basis. If Ramsdale goes to Wolves, Sa becomes avalibile. Palace have Henderson and Johnson. Like the above, if Ramsdale goes there, one or both become avalibile (preferably Henderson but Johnson is an improveemnt in what we have). The question will be, will Wolves / Palace loan us a keeper if it comes to it.
