Enjoyed reading that yesterday. We've moved into Twitter fans telling anyone who cares to listen how journalism works, all whilst quoting an actual journalist.

Maybe I am one of the middle aged men that's been referenced (I am mid 30's) but the inconsistency's behind peoples opinions on Twitter is what does my head in. Take Onuachu signing as an example. Hailed by those with a "following" as a "baller" or telling people to "let him cook" It's the same with RM now. I'm optimistic about the appointment, whilst harbouring some doubts due to his previous outcomes at MK & Swansea. I think what nailed it for me was during the CL final, people actively saying Stones is the best CB in the world and some saying the best ever. Is he a good footballer? Unquestionably. Is he the best CB around, arguably not even the position he plays in right now? Not for me. But as I say, perhaps I'm just some miserable middle aged man and all these twitter football fans know much more than I do.

Saw some chatter online that the Mac Allister deal to Liverpool, will have a knock on effect to other players market value. Not sure I agree. That seems to me that he had a release clause, and Liverpool activated it.

Just tried to purchase mine and my nippers. System error on the site atm, preventing people logging into their accounts. Guy on the phone was helpful though, reserved the seats I want to buy when it working again. He confirmed I could buy them outright over the phone but D/D has to be done online. Just an FYI for others.

Watched the Coaches Voice video where he detailed the tactics employed during the 4-0 win away at Cardiff. I think we will need a big overhaul of players (which is probably going to happen anyway) to maximise what RM wants to do. I wouldn't trust any of our defenders to be able to show the bravery needed to play the ball out as he clearly wants. Shame Lavia will be off as he would be incredible at receiving the pass from a CB, turning and starting the attack. I think it would be likely that majority of our forwards would struggle too. It seemed very, very detailed and we've seen little to suggest they can take onboard instructions these past few seasons. I'm not saying its the wrong appointment, I just hope he is given the players to implement the style quickly and correctly.

What a team that is. I'd have Davis next to Morgan so I could get Lallana in but theres not much in it. Davis was such a good player.

Another one for me even though we lost, I think it was in the 3-2 defeat against United in our first season back. Lambert scored a header and Tylers commentary was amazing. Calling Rickie a goal scorer at every level or something similar. To see Rickie getting goals in the PL after he was so instrumental in our rise through the leagues was amazing. It got me thinking that we've, until recently, had some really good CF in the PL during this spell. After the manager appointment, a goal scorer is our top priority for me.

Was going to post that one. The Liverpool comeback was fantastic. I remember we ripped Hull to pieces, think it was the Lallana slalom goal game. Not overly remarkable but I look back at that time and just used to think we could/would win most games. Especially at St Marys.

Thats all valid tbf. Worth probably saying that the majority of managers tenures are about 2/3 seasons (with some notable exceptions obviously)

Didn't Viera also join Palace when they overhauled their squad due to a large number of players contract expiring/getting sold? I'd be really happy with PV as the next manager. I just can't see Rasmus not putting his ten pence in and we end up with another NJ style appointment.

I had a ST up until the Koeman's first season. That was the point I couldn't afford to justify how much it was costing me. Regardless of price I will get one for me and my lad who will be 16 when the season KO. The whole Championship, L1, Championship ride was the best time I have had. Met loads of good lads, brilliant aways and really felt connected to the club. I'm hoping to feel like that again because this season, with these losers on the pitch, some complete tools managerially and the "we know how to beat football" people in charge has left me very very deflated,

He will do really well in the Championship next season if we can keep hold of him. I'm not an avid watcher of the division (for now) and admittedly is a small sample size but I couldn't believe the space both teams offered each other in the Blackburn/Millwall game. Alcaraz would lap that up. Could be a big player for us next year. I'd actually be surprised if someone paid what I think we would ask for him so hopefully he's with us next year.

Do Championship teams have dedicated writers at The Athletic? I just assumed Jacob would be assigned to a different PL team next season.

I was gutted earlier in the season. Probably Forest, but certainly Brentford away. Thats when I knew we were going down. The relegation to L1 was the worst I have felt, far more than PL relegation. That really felt bad.

In a season full of mediocrity, that was near the top of the pile. Illogical decision making from the "manager" and a complete shambles from the players. Goodbye Premier League.

His decision making throughout his tenure has been questionable. The Diallo sub at Arsenal and the switch to a back three today proves it that simply he cannot manage at this level. You don't get anywhere these days playing negative pragmatic football. Get rid now and start the process of recruiting a manager for the Championship.

Some of the passing, first touch and all round play has been utterly embarrassing tonight. Selles, you're not up to it mush.
