We're down to the last 500 so every ticket now will need to be collected.
-
I plan on getting in the ground quite early anyway. Can see loads of Everton fans trying to bunk in and it becoming chaos close to KO.
-
Yeah I fully expect there to be little cunts everywhere asking the time away from the immediate vicinity of the ground.
-
Do you mean they might not actually do it? Perhaps but then it'd only work this once. I think they will and they've just grossly underestimated how long it'll take to sort out 1000 tickets pre match. Really hope I don't get picked.
-
Won't their PSR limit be less than ours though due to the allowed losses being £20m less per season?
-
Kinda get what you're saying but if you can't look forward to a couple of games against them lot then what can you look forward to? We'll almost certainly have a much better squad than them so if we get the manager right should be aiming for 4 points minimum. Though a home win apiece wouldn't surprise me. The only downsides are the fact that we'll have the bubbles and the new ground layout will make SMS less racous for them I think.
-
Now confirmed after their win today. Gives us something to look forward to.
-
No I think we'll sell them all. 1000 is the number that have to be collected which is what I think is too many.
-
Depends on whether it's a case or lead booked collects or whether they'll want id for every ticket. I think 1000 is too many and it's going be chaotic to be honest.
-
3rd October was the game when we came out of the minus points I think.
-
Nice one. I knew you can through the concourse for Northam/Itchen but wasn't sure if you could other end.
-
Can you get through the concourse from the chapel to the itchen does anyone know.

Thought it'd be interesting to see how many people plan on renewing their ST's next year. I suspect this season has broken many fans and we'll see quite a sharp drop from last season especially as prices will be higher than then. Although I reckon the matches against the skates might make some people's mind up. Personally I'll be renewing regardless. Mainly for away game reasons but also because next season will undoubtedly be much more enjoyable than this one. Am tempted to bin the Northam off though and move to the Chapel...

Our fans: loyal and positive, or noddy and soft?

One thing I have noticed in the last two seasons is how there seems to be much more younger fans (under 20) at away games than there seemed to be beforehand. This is the social media generation and it shows in how they constantly have their phones in their hand and that seems to be their priority more than anything else. It's also noticeable how many songs seem to have dropped off recently like nobody knows the words. Tried to get 'we are Southampton, the pride of the South' going at about 7 aways this year and not once had more than 10-15 people join in. Never hear 'we all follow Southampton' anymore either. Was good to hear the woolston ferry yesterday mind. Again only a fairly small amount of us singing it though. -

None of the players we'd want to keep will be staying mate. And certainly not because some people decided to applaud them when they were relegated. -

Some people have been sacked for this season haven't they? Kraft and Mowbray. Think things will turn nasty very quickly if he have a bad summer and poor start next season. -

Bit of both. The support has largely been excellent during what's been a horrifically bad season but the amount of people who applauded them yesterday was baffling. -
I didn't mind the gallows humour yesterday but the clapping at the end was just plain weird.

Yeah I thought when I saw the other day about the asphalt plan that it doesn't particularly tie in with the clubs stated plans. As for the gas works aren't there flats going up there?
-
Yeah sorry I wasn't too clear re the Brighton thing. And of course it's a good money spinner but that's presumably true of all other clubs too? It'd be an even bigger one if they revoke a season ticket and keep it as match day only. Which is why I think it won't happen next season as we won't sell out the season tickets but it'll be on the cards if we go back up I reckon.
-
If we come back up I expect the club to limit that like others are starting to do. Must attend x amount of games or lose your right to renew. Obviously be no point next season as we'll be nowhere near selling out season tickets. Think Brighton even charge a fee for transferring a digital ticket for a game and limit that too.
-
Nice opportunity for Liverpool to rest half their team. Means it probably won't be too much worse than last night score wise.
-
I know it's only London but it's remarkable we're still selling out every away game in this horrific season. Actually dreading tonight if I'm honest. Half tempted to sack it off but I know I won't.

I agree to an extent (especially recently) but even early in the season when we weren't already relegated and had good spells it was largely poor. There's people near me who've not sung once all season and spend large chunks of the game sat down or on their phone. The best it's been all season in my view was the second half of the Spurs game when we were five down and it was half empty which says it all. Said it before but there's a lot of atmosphere tourism going on in my view. People want to be in the singing area but not actually contribute to it. I've had mates of other clubs say they're seeing a similar thing so it's not just Saints.
