  1. Be fair, Frank had his share of totty.
  2. Right, never seen changes in opinion before Duck? With direct reference to Prescott he could have remained an MP anyway. He's vigourous enough at 70 ish. If he wants to be a Lord before it is abolished and if he helps vote out or sound down the remaining hereditary peers, no problem. Prescott is a breath of old fresh air to both main parties as is Tebbit for example.
  3. Clearly you can't quote Marxist dogma as JB does above to relate principles of socialism to a modern a day society. It's moved on. If Marx was around today his comments would be different. There has to be a mix and match in pretty much everything. The State can't survive healthily without private sector initiative (which Labour encouraged) and the private sector needs regulation and incentives from the State.
  4. That Tombola sponsorship of Emmerdale... stupid music and patrionising visualisation of thick people who clearly live a happy and safe life on council estates in their nuclear family units. And Tombola bingo or whatever it is makes it even nicer.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/10243729.stm Good news for FF and his few cohorts. BA is losing £7m a day. How much longer can this nonsense go on? A few years back I got involved in a union issue. It was bloody straightforward - the guy didn't want to work under the same good conditions others had and tried to call me out as his manager. He pulled everything trick in his union book to do it. He was a grade A arse cos he effectively wanted flexi between 10 to 4 and 2 hours at lunch... as if... I have had the same recently off Unite local reps at a power plant site... Utter w@nkers in attitude! Much like football agents in a sense, parasites. But it amazes me further that the union is ruining an airline for the sake of a few well paid cabin staff... Duncan, you are so bloody wrong!
  6. Ultimately the club is in very private hands and season tickets from half- and non- payers are irrelevant to them. Get used to it.
  7. All top choices. I wish to add Richard Hammond as he has turned into an irritating long haired **** who is on every programme on TV nearly.
  8. Frankly, most others will consider the RN nuke fleet to be way down the list! A quick fix would be to have nuclear ammunitions on aircraft that exist for example and keep some teachers in work! And then three hunter-killers.
  9. I liked Yeahbaby...
  10. There is no point trying to convince Dune. We all know his starting point.
  11. I think you have not read the concensus. Nobody is saying it was for personal gain. You keep hammering this point and we all agree. Either way, he broke rules.
  12. I've noticed you seem to swear a lot in your trite posts.
  13. Knee Jerk
  14. Can you justify your job under the new cuts government TDD?
  15. Andy, you have stuck up for Laws long and hard when it is obvious to others that he has to take a back seat.
  16. The rules are the rules. It just proves that many did not abide by them anyway, hence the Telgraph's new war...
  17. Eh? Is this a reaction to the Laws situation? If it is, it's bizarre from a normally good poster!
  18. Lol. Another Dune-a-like... although I have noted this before. If you bothered checking Parliamentary records you would see that Prescott was one of the hardest working constituency MPs. I met him last year on a particular issue and he was really very good natured but also really keen to see a good outcome to the issue. Genuinely nice bloke.

  20. Not Concordski? You surprise me.
  21. It's not in English football's interests to procrastinate and cover things up. I'm sure they realise that......
  22. Well, either way, I think Laws has to be a gonner. DC can't hold out against the Telegraph and "scandal".
  23. I'd be amazed if he is still in position by Tuesday. It looks bad and his judgement is poor. I don't think DC can let it go.
  24. Why is it clear that Laws wasn't making use of the system? He has been with his partner since 2001. Most MPs under the same circumstances would have realised the problem and divvied up voluntarily or grudgingly because they could see what was coming. Laws may have ability, but he is naive to think he is different to others in similar situations.
