Wilcox did do well in getting value for the players we sold last summer. But.... He didn't find us a working striker. He hasn't solved our keeping issues. He oversaw unneeded recruitment in January which has unbalanced our side. He's clearly wanting out and doesn't believe in his own project. Man Utd is a massive shit show no sane human would want in on. Except the money. On the plus side if there is a side in the world that needs "just one more attacking midfielder" it's Utd so seems like a match made in heaven. Get as much compensation as we can and pretend we hope the door doesn't hit him too hard on the way out. Right now in addition to not being on top of strategy he's an unnecessary distraction.

We hire keepers who can't save, full backs who can't defend and strikers who can't play at all. It's like Football Manager on opioids.

Aribo has added pace and phsyciality to his weirdly hypnotic skills this season. He looks like a proper central midfielder. Able to win the ball, break with it or hit a pass these days.

Adams will have gone on a free. That'll be like having a new signing up front.

Despite my frustrations over the last couple of months I've not not enjoyed this season. Still think we've got a shot in the playoffs so will reserve judgement until after then Same as every season I just want a striker, a keeper and a defensive midfielder.

I think we lose intensity over the course of each half. We start brightly and create a few chances. Then possession becomes for the sake of possession, chances dry up and we lose intensity across the pitch. If there is any minor shift in momentum we're then there for the taking.

Agree with the sentiment above. Edozie was out injured in early January having been a key part of our run of form. He and Fraser were pretty much sharing duties down the left wing. Contribution wise there's not much between the two of them. Don't see how Sulemana jumped back in ahead of them. Thought losing Aribo was also a big miss. He's really deserved more minutes this season. Offers more ability in tight spaces than Smallbone. Still boggled why we brought Rothwell in on loan and to a lesser extent Brooks as Armstrong has been out wide right. As for fucking with the THB and Bednarek partnership... That's mental.

I felt he should've stopped at least 2 of the goals yesterday. His lateral movement seems more like he drops to the ground and sticks out a hand rather than dives sideways. It's rare he stops anything not hit directly at him. Contrast that with the ground the Ipswich keeper made up to stop Bednarek's flicked header. Throw in the two shocking handling errors on Friday and it ain't pretty. We dropped 2 points on Friday because strikers. We dropped 3 last night because keeper.

It's Man Utd who are an omnishambles. For me the only surprise is they've waited so long. Chelsea already jumped in to steal our success with the fella that preceded Wilcox too.

Don't forget our only defensive midfielder too. We'll be able to field a whole team of brave attacking talent. And no striker.

Our subs seem to be more about rotating our attackers than any meaningful change.

It's options in places we were already ok that's the problem. Rothwell is no Stu or Aribo. We had Edozie and Fraser tearing up the wing. What we didn't have was cover for Downes or a striker (and arguably a keeper). Just recruiting more attacking midfielders is a bit Man Utd...
