  1. In previous years I'd assume we'd be about to put out a press release saying Ralph was happy with his striking options only for Che to get injured as the window shut. Now, I believe you're right.
  2. Until the last three words of that sentence my heart sank
  3. Same. Any time a Saints transfer draws out I feel like it's going to fall through.
  4. So Long, Shane and thanks for everything. I remember your clinical seasons under Koeman and the commitment you showed every minute on the pitch.
  5. That tackle meant Matt le Tiss didn't get subbed on for a farewell appearance.
  6. I can't remember the last time I was this excited by a transfer window. Obviously it's Saints so it can all go tits up in a heartbeat but I'm loving the possibilities of our current approach.
  7. I honestly think £75m would be good business. I think our current owners are more likely to spend the money well than our previous. And, as many have said, our midfield looks ponderous at times. I don't think JWP is dynamic enough to boss a midfield or skilful enough to really stretch other teams. There were flashes last season with a couple or peachy early balls but he's either not playing with that intent enough or high enough up the pitch to have those opportunities.
  8. I pray it's a case of trying to drive the price up. His defending has looked worse than TAA when I've seen him.
  9. It's a real Jekyll and Hyde. When we're on a roll it's an 9. When we're not it's a 3. That being said keeping us up with the players he inherited and absence of funds was nothing short of miraculous.
  10. He only has 90 minutes (plus maybe 30)
  11. Now we've lulled them by being pants in the league we'll be able to catch them napping.
  12. When we become ponderous in attack is usually when we stop feeding the players bombing past on the overlap. So many times there was a player running through and the player in possession stopped and went backward. We're making the runs. Just not feeding them.
  13. Almiron on. A player we tend to make look good
  14. We got this. COYR
  15. Forster's kicking has been really good
  16. Just saw the draw. Honestly, my first reaction was that Pep would've seen that and said "oh fuck".
  17. Thank god for that. Was getting a bit antsy about him predicting wins for us.
  18. Villla dont seem to have gelled into the sum of their parts. Could go either way. I've seen Coutinho torment us but also disappear. They don't seem to have found a way to get the best out of Ings. But they've had a whole week to rest and prepare. Still feeling good about this one though. 4-2 to Saints
  19. Off to the bad takes thread everybody
  20. They'll have no answer for shlong. Armstrong will click.
  21. Better get a move on. Boris is imposing sanctions any year now
  22. Puel will play exciting attacking football. He'll do better than Koeman.
  23. "No one could have foreseen him selling his assets and it was vital we followed due process" Which doesn't compare favourably with "we'll hit them with sanctions as soon as one russian toe crosses the border". At least we have Top Gun Truss...
  24. And the angst of the Spurs-heavy studio
