Twitter is a handy medium but it really can be proof positive that the old cliche about a million monkeys typing at random will eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare is utter twaddle

So funny I nearly went myself

SSN fella just showed a picture of Gaston on latest update, but phone rang and I missed what he said. If that was the big announcement it's very frustrating, like when you take a kid to a game and they insist on being taken to the loo 2 minutes before halftime and a goal goes in while you are in the concourse.

Lollage. BTW, with the advent of homeworking, does the lady in charge become 'her in the other room'?

You're not alone there mate

I think that pretty much covers it, Mr 9. The last bit is particularly apt.

But then a lot of people would have to get on with their work. Boo.

Well, that's clear then. I'm off to get a beer.

Since when did Liverpool showing an interest in (or signing) someone provide any guarantee of quality.

Ooops, was in NY at the end of July. Fired you an SMS but guess you may have changed number -
Who'd have thunk we'd be offering £12m or so for a player.

He's setting his standards pretty high these days if that's the case (with apologies to the the lovely Mrs DP of course)

Duly voted. Looking at the list it does suddenly seem rather less likely. On current form my Mum would be on the plane before Carroll.

Haven't been on the forum for absolutely ages and it is somehow comforting to see this thread appears to be chugging along on a loop. OK some of the words have changed but the tune is the same.

I think taking a lady who was also a Yank might have been sailing a bit close to the windf if you were expecting any sort of football appreciation. Mind you Mrs F was little better. On her first match behavioural highlights included turning round to me when the singing ramped up and asking why men didn't sing like that in church and, on about 75 minutes, saying 'oooh, have they changed ends?'.

It was, indeed, a bloody good night. Good game of footy with some great lads. It really is something everyone should try to do once. Thanks as ever to Steve for doing the organising. -

Would have been risky too, what with the lack of hair Robsk has these days to cushion the impact -
Ironically this would give them much the same in the current system as it would under most types of alternative system - a very powerful position in the horse trading that follows a hung parliament - going with the bbc tool's assumption that voiting followed similar patterns to last time. Scarily a different extrapolation of the numbers could equally easily see this lead to the Tories securing a majority government with less than a third of the popular vote. FWIW I am totally with you on the thought that the system is an iniquity. The argument that a coalition would lead to instability is, to my mind, a bit of a red herring - for every Italy there's a Germany, Ireland or New Zealand - where having a diversity of interests in government means that policy is challenged and debated ina more constructive way than the oppo making sheep noises at Westminster
