Even with their wages allegedly halved they can still earn a lot more here than at any club that is likely to want them. Aribo 75k, Sulemana 40k Armstrong 30k, Stephens 45k, Smallbone 25k, Bednarek 70k. Half those wages are too steep for a lot of championship clubs,unless of course you some how think that they can play at a higher level. Ron Davies in his prime would have been worth an absolute fortune in todays game. The only downside would be there is no player in the modern game to touch Terry Paines crossing ability. The only player to have come close since TP,was the brilliant John Robertson at Forest. What the club would give now to have Davies and Paine.
