The whole team scored less than two of their players individual scores, what a totally shambolic performance,relegation is a distinct possibility [ Only 15 points clear of Worcester,if and when we lose this game ]. How has it come to this ? The batting has been a total disgrace, a few individual performances apart,the bowling okay up to this game.

Dawson and Abbott bowl their hearts out,Jack is young and extremely promising,but Organ and Fuller undo their good work by going around the park. I agree with WC about Brown as well,not a forceful enough leader,seems a bit too soft to hand out any rollickings that might be needed. I am sure that Ron Griffiths will know the answers.

Had a chat with Mark Davies then of Durham CCC [ in 2009 ], Mark was Andrews brother and said that Andrew loved it at Saints and was very sorry to leave.

Where would we be without Kyle Abbott ? Finally Orr gets a chance,I wonder whether he will get the rest of the season to settle in,after all Albert has had plenty of chances as has Tom Prest.

Wood, Fuller and Jack went for 138 in 10 overs, the latter will improve hopefully,Wood is finished at this level and Fuller bowls to many boundary balls. Pretorius played 20 dot deliveries, it is a tough ask for a youngster new to English conditions to open the batting. A very ironic situation we win our first 3 games and have not won in the last 4, when we normally start with a defeat or two and gradually improve.

A positive move by the club,hopefully he scores plenty of runs.

Had a chat with Mark Dennis at the cricket and Gordon Watson [ no relation ] at Vospers ground Sholing,both in the nineties and both were decent to chat with.

Yes they will be on half those wages,but still more than a lot of championship players,which is the standard for most of the players who end up staying.

Gloucester Saint are the players the club want to sell going to earn as much at other clubs ? That just maybe might be why we will not shift the players we want to. Will be very happy to be proved wrong. Would you leave your job for less money ? I very much doubt it.

Time will tell Hypo and tell me truthfully do you really think that we will get rid of some of our not up to scratch players ? Even with their wages allegedly halved they can still earn a lot more here than at any club that is likely to want them. Aribo 75k, Sulemana 40k Armstrong 30k, Stephens 45k, Smallbone 25k, Bednarek 70k. Half those wages are too steep for a lot of championship clubs,unless of course you some how think that they can play at a higher level. Enter Southampton football club wages for 2024/25 season on you tube if you think these figures are made up.

Does not look like we want Rudoni, Sainz or Sargent then, very,very disappointing. Looks like we are massively struggling to get rid of any of the deadwood as well, a long summer of heartache ahead ?
