Notts have a strong top 6,probably why they prefer to chase. I texted Weston Saint who is at the game and said I thought we might need 325 plus, very sadly I think that might be proved right.
-
Throwing the game away, Prest really is a walking wicket, totally wasting his talent.
-
Good start after being put in,such a shame Orr got himself in and failed to go on and get a big score.
-
All depends on the next two weeks as said above. There are two issues as far as I can see,the first is can we score enough goals? as many allude to,the other is that we seem to find it hard to keep clean sheets, which means we have to score at least twice to win a game.

For the record in answer to a few snide comments above, I do not dislike the man as a human being and I said that a year or two ago on the forum. The simple fact is that as a football manager, unless he changes the way he plays [ although very doubtful ], he is unlikely to stay at any club for a long time. The one good thing with failing as a football manager,is that the pay offs are more than most of us on here have earned in our entire working lives. [ In the top leagues any way. ]
-
He is skating on thinner ice day by day. If they lose at Saint Mirren at the weekend and home to Celtic the following week, that will probably be curtains. The Brugges tie is already over, but it has certainly not helped his cause. I would imagine the vitriol on Rangers websites is off the richter scale and very well deserved, the mans intransigence to change his ludicrous style of football beggars belief.
-
Lets hope we can stay in top 2 and if possible take top spot from Gloucestershire who we still have to play away. [ Have to beat Notts and Derbyshire as well which will not be easy.]
-
A very good point, as Derry said we cause most of our own defensive problems,by continually giving the ball away at the back with some awful passing.
-
He looks a very good prospect and well done to him for scoring his first goal for first team goal today, hopefully the first of many.
-
Poor batting performance, Prest had a chance to atone for his wretched season so far and blew it yet again. [ I like him as a player, but why is he unable to play much longer innings ?].
-
That really was a dreadful watch. Whether it was complacency or just the fact that some of theplayers are just are not good enough [ more likely the case ]. We will not be picking up many away wins if we cannot play better than that, the passing in particular was atrocious.
-
4 points dropped against two of the leagues weaker sides, the league will be over by christmas at this rate, maybe even sooner.
-
Having watched the brief highlights on online Sky [ Plus watched whole game on tv ] ,Downs was nudged in the back by Cody and I reckon thats why he did not score before Stephens put it in.
-
He did well today, needs it to be every week as captain.
-
A come back win with 2 late goals, well done for that Saints, probably just about deserved but we should have been 3 down before we woke up. [ Cody missed a sitter and a couple of inches lower and Windass scores ].

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Andrew Watson replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
As long as Stephens stays off the pitch,he can help the players as much as possible in any way the club wishes. -
Another terrific win, shout out to Joe Weatherly. It is a real shame and worry that Tom Prest can barely buy a run.

Thanks MLG for link. -
Agree Hypo, will depend on what players we have at the end of the window, as to where we finish.
-
Thanks for the above Ron.

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Andrew Watson replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
An obsession? Still was months away from joining when Bazunu was lined up to be first choice this year. -
Excellent win with such a young main bowling attack, well done Hants.
-
As I have mentioned, I was told at the end of April that Bazunu would be number one goalkeeper for this season. Does anyone else think that it is possible that Will Still was told that Bazunu and Stephens were both to play major roles this season ? Just a thought.
-
2 - 2, was a very fair reflection of the series and all the Sky cricket experts agreed. on that as well.
-
I was told over 3 months ago [ I posted on 28/4/25 ] that the club intended that Bazunu would be number 1 this year. A pretty decent source, that is all I am prepared to say. Not particularly happen about it,I do worry if Bazunu and Stephens are in the starting eleven.
