Sargent is a big threat, Norwich another possession team with 500 plus passes. With a bit of luck this will be one of the biggest bore draws of the season and Saints can nick a goal in 95th min. Of course if both teams leave out many players then who knows.
-
Are there any players that haven't been coached to play possession football, stop at the opposition box , square the side to side, don't shoot first time but look left right then left again? If not just keep the money and get some decent recliner arm chairs installed.
-
I honestly think Saints have employed tennis or golf consultants no one knows anything about football. The tactics don't match the players, the players can't play the tactics or the are playing last seasons tactics. 1st half then 2nd half player changes etc etc. Had plenty of time since end season to sort out.
-
Really, how is that possible. Must be fake news or AI.
-
We don't have any.
-
Be very surprised if we get promoted. Team plays a very weak and negative style to compete. Struggled v Wrexham and Stoke got lucky at Ipswich. No real game plan and walking pace is hardly top 6. Mid table as too late to get players in as club sleep walking each day or on EA25 fantasy land.

Bradford, Martin, Still, Saints back 3 what more do you need. Sounds like a prog rock band.
-
We have more chance of losing v Pompey than just even drawing. RM playing at back and risky passing, 400 to 700 passes then opposition just boot ball in box or run through entire team is just ridiculous to copy. May as well have RM back. Crosses to smallest players! Lose to Pompey and that indicates the level of the club we are at.

I guess the club's plan to get promoted must be in 2 to 4 seasons as the basic for any team is to score lots of goals first, unless the target is to avoid relegation then its a draw first and maybe a lucky break and get a goal. I'm completely baffled by our game plan, 1st vs 2nd half, run the last 10 mins, pass sideways even if last kick of game. The setup and thinking is just a mess. Its like the drinks and food self service looks good on paper but doesn't work

It will happen very soon, he'll be off and Saints will wait till next season to get any players, by then it will be too late.
-
Why can't we buya forward who has proven ability and can score 15-2] goals? Ridiculous stupid possession boring football. How on earth are we going you beat Pompey at home playing this crap. Saints are a slow, boring, negative weak team. We don't even cheat , no play actual, falling to ground to stop attacks. Whatever has happened to football!

M3 very slow at All brook junction
-
1 hour from Eastleigh is normal.
-
Saints are so unpredictable by playing 5 minutes of decent football in parts of the game it will catch Stoke out. We could be lucky again.... 6 lives left.
-
11 at back and we would still give goals away.
-
Settle for point, Ipswich should have won by 4 or 5. We are no where near a team to secure top 2. 2 games won by luck so take that.
-
Again another back header/pass leading to a chance for opponents. This tactic is ingrained into Saints players. Can you imagine another play off final with this defensive tactic.
-
I really think it's down to playing out from the back. Its reliant on slow walking football, players whi don't have pace to last 70 mins or any burst. It only works against similar teams or rubbish teams.
-
If players the club want to sell to buy then agree it will be too late to get any experienced players to help a promotion push. The high price tags are an odd approach. How fo other teams get 6,7,8,9,12 players in??
-
F hell a headed goal away.
-
Tactics wrong, same as Wrexham either put ball in low the natural goal scorer or high to a tall player to nod in. Its basic football coaching. I fear we have RM v2 its all odd football. Who ever holds the budget has made a huge mistake by not getting a goal scorer, natural forward with experience.
-
Why pass back, can't players kick the out for a throw or anywhere but towards our goal. Coaches obsessed with stupid back pass to keep ball.
-
Said all last season and same again, if you boot it out into opponents half it causes problems. Just get the ball out of our half. Especially first 20 mins. Basic football.
-
Watched Eastleigh 0-2 Gateshead, Eastleigh looked like Saints last year. Winchester City 1-1 Bashley FA cup. Replay Tuesday.
-
I'll settle for any win even if it means another 700+ passes and bore Ipswich to death then 90 min action and a Manning free kick. Set pieces may be our answer with corners and long throws. Get the ball in box quickly.
