  1. watched the second a few times and it’s not one of his worst ( from the angles i’ve seen) but yet another to file in the ‘ could have done better’ category. i can’t remember the last time he made a decent save - WBA away perhaps. seems the club and management are happy with a keeper who doesn’t make saves and lets in a lot of goals he should keep out. i like blackmore but on solent today he said that baz was good with his feet and a good shotstopper but was not confident coming off his line. where on earth has he seen evidence of good shot stopping. we are now nearly two years into this folly and hopefully we won’t make it a third but I’m far from convinced. we just need to cut our losses as a decent replacement would be an easy way to cut the number of goals we concede.
  2. that’s a great post - sums it’s up. last time we properly controlled a game was WBA but as you say we won and we are back in it if we beat preston on tuesday
  3. incredible stuff
  4. win next two and we are back in it
  5. leeds 1-0 down
  6. the smothering save from vardy was good and he was confident and commanded his box. seemed to know where his goals were. Baz in goal and they would not have won that. first ten minutes I thought leicester would win easily but they were quite profligate up front and seemed to run out of ideas
  7. why does JB have to force his way back in ? didn’t do anything wrong and was part of a very successful and settled back four
  8. Yes I think the goal movements is about all there is. In the Ipswich game the commentary team said 10 of our goals had started from Bazanu. No idea how that compares to other keepers - guess that’s another statistic!
  9. in this particular case what is it that the stats don’t show us that is interesting ?
  10. he’s a crap keeper for this level that’s about it really
  11. You can be a good keeper in a shit team You can be a bad keeper in a good team Baz is the latter The lad at rotherham is the former We all want saints to be a better team so let’s get a new and better keeper
  12. might be a few interested but you would have thought £5million would do it
  13. I read he would be an available for £5-6Million but could be bollocks - seems about right though for a championship keeper
  14. or we just get a decent keeper - that wouldn’t solve it but it would make a big difference
  15. difficult to assess without a replay but thought baz should have come for that
  16. Constant chopping and changing with no method to it He seems to have no idea of his best team whereas to most it’s pretty obvious Baz ( least shit) KWP JB THB Bree Downes Aribo Stu Frazer Adams AArmstrong
  17. he’s an average coach
  18. why can’t we afford to sack him ?
  19. I’d play stephens in goal if he has to play
  20. RM can either produce a seat of the pants game ( huddersfield, birmingham, ipswich) or a dull turgid game ( huddersfield away, blackburn away). he seems incapable of consistently delivering a team that controls and wins games. the last time we achieved that was WBA.
  21. Think he will say we needed to be braver on the ball
  22. despite losing to Ipswich twice i feel we could win that not sure we could beat leeds or leicester
  23. No one to hold the ball up and good to see Baz still there
  24. Our recruitment from City has been poor, with the exception of Lavia. None of those players have proven to be good championship players and they were bought for the PL. Suppose we have to reserve judgment on Larios as he hasn’t played in the championship
  25. He was initially a winger back in his Shamrock youth days, transitioning into a keeper later into his development. quote above from a 2022 article think this explains a lot and why he doesn’t really have the necessary goalkeeping attributes; in substance he’s an average outfield player who now plays in goal maybe we try him on the wing for the rest of the season and see how he goes. might be more effective than edozie
