the reason he’s out of position so often trailing behind whoever is running scott fee down the wing is possibly because he’s got no positional sense but it could also be that he ends up out a limb and looks shit because those are the positions he is told to take by the manager. he’s being asked to play like cafu whereas he’s just a skinny lad from the west of ireland. he was born in galway so i have to stick up for him

listened to this on radio humberside last night and they were loving it of course just seen the goals - the second one is a horror show and Bazanu should have done better with the parry for the first. listened to martin with blackmore after the game. accepted the first half was down to him but far too much talk of bravery and courage on the ball. it’s not WWII and this sort of talk just distracts. pick your best team and stick with that - has to be fraser every time over edozie and aribo to give us some presence in the middle of the park with downes when fit. adams has to come back in. id go with stephens at LB until Bree is back playing
-
lost two in three now and conceded 8 in four games didn’t understand why you wouldn’t start fraser, brookes, aribo and possibly adams ( albeit i can see he was returning from injury) the starting 11 was very lightweight and the manager got it wrong tonight
-
Could have been more than 2. We have started the game with several of our better players on the bench and zero control in midfield. You can’t play that midfield and manning. The wheels are in danger of coming off if we are not careful - need to get fraser, aribo, brookes and adams on
-
We seem to have no control at all in the game - from WBA to this is inexplicable.

what a result

come on saints !!!!!
-
decent side - 2-0 win we are a very good team
-
he wasn’t great but it was 0-0 when he went off - seemed to lose all control in the second
-
calf i think - others may correct me
-
true but saturday was still ‘gung ho’ and the sort of intensity you need to win the play offs so I don’t think we can say they cant up the tempo. don’t get me wrong tonight was poor and flat but this is a good team, albeit one clearly heavily reliant on downes to make it tick
-
what was saturday if it wasn’t ‘gung ho’! we lost tonight because you can’t win every game and because without downes we don’t have control in midfield. i also think admas gives us a focal point and again he wasn’t playing
-
it’s not good but not as bad as sunderland away - that was the pits
-
Saturday will have taken a lot out of them lack of control in midfield today and no platform to play from. without downes we struggle in midfield and charles isn’t the answer
-
good news on Downes - hopefully back for WBA
-
you need to be saving those at this level.
-
think he just got disorientated trying to back pedal. these things happen the first was terrible keeping though - low down to his left again fantastic game
-
the bicep comment was the pits or as he might describe it his ‘nightmareish nadir’. he’s a second rate simon callow doing poetry pete. bring back tyler. between drury and VAR it can be a painful watch
-
I think he’s a very good keeper don’t think he’ll want to be a number 2 - far too good for that.

these are the guys who paid £23.5million for Rhian Brewster so could be a runner
