  1. Yeah sure mate. Someone sign this guy up to the CoT
  2. He hasn’t done anything remotely impressive in his short time here to warrant being sad about. Good luck to him at United though, they’re more of a basket case than saints. There are a hundred Jason Wilcox’s out there looking for a club as big as saints to give them a chance. Mental appointment from United really.
  3. He’s already had an amazing one. Most keepers with his ability would be playing down the local park on a Saturday / Sunday, not premier league / championship
  4. I’ve watched this 57,000 times this week already and Ron’s face still makes me laugh every time
  5. That’s not true. In general everyone has been extremely patient with bazunu. It’s not like he’s been given a hard time - despite being absolutely terrible for 2 years now. Everyone’s just sort of accepted that we have a terrible keeper and is fine with it at this point. The funny part is that Macca’s distribution wasn’t even much of a step down on Bazunu’s on Tuesday night. Plus the whole team looked much better without fannying about passing it back to him. The whole situation with the club supporting bazunu at all costs is fucking bizarre.
  6. It’s gonna be a fun end to the season. I don’t understand how it’s taken him until the last 6 games to see what all of us could see from the start of the season. Most of the above points we have all been crying out for
  7. Will make us stronger tbh. Less faffing about at the back and more shots saved hopefully
  8. Hard to judge as Preston were so bad but he did alright tonight. Better than throwing random players in there like the last few weeks. Hopefully Martin has seen sense
  9. Exactly, Charles has shown a lot more in his cameo roles than Mara has, in an area of the team that we have zero competition for. It just doesn’t make much sense really. We leak goals late on in games yet our manager doesn’t rate our only other defensive midfielder. Bit of a dilemma.. and shoehorning Stephens there isn’t the solution
  10. It’s not ludicrously poor management in isolation. The ludicrously poor bit is throwing a centre back into DM in the middle of a vital game. That was ludicrous. We have had all of pre-season and 40 odd games including cup games and games we were well ahead to try playing Stephens as a holding midfielder. Martins biggest weakness is not setting up a midfield correctly. He is lucky Downes is so good imo as it covers his mistakes.
  11. Pressure is off is really as we were all resigned to the play offs already. Can go into every fixture without any expectations. Until it’s dead may as well go for it.
  12. He was good against Liverpool. He was good against WBA. More importantly he adds height and physical presence which is what we sorely lack. He might not be the finished article, if if he was he is exactly what we are missing. I would rather see him come on and sit next to Downes when we are trying to protect a lead than almost any of the subs Martin usually makes
  13. What has this lad done to Martin? Why is Martin willing to risk putting a CB into midfield instead of playing him, despite a number of good performances? Huge mistake yesterday that nearly cost us imo. Charles is young and learning but he wouldn’t have let their attacker waltz through the middle like Stephens did yesterday. Thoroughly barmy management. I defended Martin and like him a lot, but he undervalues the defensive midfield position so much. You can’t just chuck random players in there
  14. Absolutely spot on, despite the last minute amazing win Martin had an absolute shocker yesterday. For a while ive wanted to see Stephens at DM, as I think he has the attributes for it. But to randomly throw him there, in the middle of a must win game - whilst leaving Charles not even in the squad… it’s mental. Absolutely bat shit and arrogance from the manager who nearly cost us yesterday. Martin does a lot right but also a lot wrong. He needs to learn when to shut games down.
  15. Time to put the pressure on. We can do this
  16. I’m gonna choose to be optimistic and dream of autos , because to me that’s what footy is about. Chasing the impossible dream until it’s mathematically done. In reality I think you can stick a fork in us, and I don’t really want to go up anyway. But I’m just imagining the scenes at Elland Road when we clinch 2nd on the final day with a Che adams tap in
  17. I really hope Leicester continue to bottle it, the cheating pricks. Today would be a fantastic time to put a marker down and smash Watford. Are we capable of it?
  18. I think the other big argument in favour of Martin is stability. We have had so much change already this season. Wilcox has now gone. We will surely see many more players come & go in the summer. We need stability somewhere at the club so we can build a platform.
  19. I think he’s slightly underperforming and keeps making some barmy decisions. His in-game decisions are often slow and I truly believe he has cost us some points late in games with bad decisions. I also worry about the midfields he selects. He doesn’t value the defensive players enough. (who really thought a midfield of Rothwell/Stu/Smallbone was solid enough except him?) On the other hand, I think he is hamstrung in both boxes. I don’t rate bazunu at all, and the club fucked the striker position up. So thinking carefully about it, he is young, and he has done a lot of good work already. I would be happy to keep him on even if we dont go up. I think he deserves more time and support. I don’t get some of the dislike towards him as I think he seems like a great bloke. Also, I agree with the posts above. I don’t trust SR to choose a better option.
  20. He’s an absolute disgrace. Has been his whole time here. What was Martin thinking bringing him on?
  21. So bored of Sekou Mara. Lazy prick. Waste of a shirt
  22. How do you train to stop someone that doesn’t know what they’re going to do themselves?
  23. Hopefully the lock ness ghost will be fit and can come in for a fairytale Wembley winner. But if he isn’t, we have to play Che the majority of the time. As soon as he goes off we lack a focal point. Arma is not the answer as a 9 and he won’t ever be, no matter how many times the club want to try him there.
  24. Really wish he would just go back to basics and keep it simple. Che has to play. As bad as his finishing is, without a target man, we go to shit every single time. Play THB and Janny B at centre back, and full backs at full back. Find his best team and keep a settled 11 where possible. If he starts doing these simple things then I do really like him and a lot of what he’s done since he came in.
  25. Absolute disgrace and L££ds can fucking do one
