It is actually absurd. We spent tens of millions of pounds and started the season with league 1 (or worse?) level goalkeepers and strikers. Which was completely obvious to almost everyone. 2 good signings and we now look like we should have won the league. Incredible stuff really.

For me it depends if you’re talking about pure strikes or team goals. I wasn’t at the game yest but it was right up there. Ricky lamberts half-volley lob from 40 yards sticks in the mind. Ridiculous goal. Cuco martina’s curler or Sofiane Boufal’s mazy run are another two that stick out for me. In terms of team goals, can basically pick any pochettino game. The football we played at times was breathtaking. Jrod/lallana/lambert on the counter in their prime was quality.

As above… He’s a good championship striker. Works hard, does the basics, creates space for his team mates. Holds it up well and constantly creates a nuisance. I really like him for this level. I think his touch isn’t quite PL standard, so I’m not sure he’d make the step up if we were to miraculously be promoted. But considering where we were with our options, and where we are now, he’s a really good signing in my eyes.
