You’re being very, very kind on the club here. I don’t see how selling our prime goal scorers weeks into the season can be viewed as anything other than a cynical cash grab. The real shame is that he feels like he doesn’t want a new contract. He could be a really good striker in this league and is easily good enough as a backup for us if we get promoted again. For all the stick he gets he always gives 100% and he is a talented player. But I agree with the above posters; the club has their hand forced by his contract. We have to take the money now really. Shame, but good luck to him.

I’d be leaving SAA as an impact sub off the bench for a while personally. As good as he is, he’s only 17 and the championship is full of players that will kick him up in the air. No point in rushing him
