Agreed with most of the above, I do think it’s natural for a club to go through cycles of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ periods. However, the amplitude of our sin waves seem to be a lot more extreme than most. Doesn’t feel like we’ve bottomed yet, sadly.

Fans have recognised our weaknesses with more clarity than the club for a long time now, sadly. Anyone that was there that “clapped” needs to give their head a wobble. The guy that asked the question was spot on.

Agree to disagree. I don’t think baz saves the free kick, or the double save at the end. The guy probably doesn’t even know half the teams name, so he deserves a lot of slack for today and time to settle in.

This is crazy. Completely unacceptable against a team who are struggling so badly. Something has to be wrong with the setup of the team for this to happen. No wonder we concede so many goals.

I agree. The Wilcox quotes are everything wrong with modern football. A strong manager that makes all the decisions is what’s required for a successful team. This applies in the modern era as much as the past. See: Pep, Klopp, Arteta, Unai, Fergie, Wenger.. I could go on and on. All you get with this director set up is too many cooks, creating a cluster fuck. You can see it clearly in our squad over the last 4 seasons. Too many opposing ideas.

Ridiculously harsh. He’s not played in months and just been thrown in. Made a few good saves, enough to know that his shot stopping is better than bazunu already. The rest we’ll wait and see for now.

Difficult. They all scare me in different ways. I agree that THB and Quarshie probably makes the most sense on paper.. But quarshie’s passing absolutely terrifies me, and THB has been awful this season. Maybe if we give them a few games they can form an actual partnership, especially with a vocal keeper behind them. Heartbreaking that we’ve gone from Fonte/Alderweireld/VVD to these guys, in just a few seasons.
