The positive thing is, with Marsch, there is genuinely a chance that he is a great fit for us for the next few seasons. Couldn’t say that about NJ. Even before he was appointed it was an obvious mistake

As much as this appointment will look ridiculous from the outside, I agree that it does make sense in a lot of ways. He genuinely seems like a decent bloke, unlike the previous knob head which is huge. Even if we keep losing and go down, he will hopefully install some sort of team spirit again. However, I am just sad that it’s come to this. Ultimately, if you had presented me with Nathan Jones and Marsch as successors to Ralph, I would probably have gambled on keeping Ralph and giving him some new players in the Jan window. I really thought SR’s money would help atttact a higher calibre of manager. But oh well - if the rumour is true he has my full 100% support all season. Positive vibes only from here. And who knows? Could be one of those lucky appointments where we fit each other like a glove.

Hopefully we finally get a new manager bounce. Chelsea haven’t been great for a while, so in theory we could get something. Although I wouldn’t bet on it. Chelsea 3-0 or 4-0 is more likely unfortunately.

I do think Marsch is a much better fit than Nathan Jones. But appointing someone that has just recently been a failure in the PL seems barmy. There must be some young, hungry tactical managers out there that can do a job. Yea we are shit & a basket case, but the PL and money is still a massive attraction. Jesse Marsch seems… unimaginative.

I was adamant that Ralph should go. But I think we would have at least 5 more points from those games under him. Utterly ridiculous/catastrophic appointment. Genuinely can’t think of a more suicidal decision by a premier league club than to appoint this incompetent fraud. Literally everyone could see it as well - its fucking staggering

Obviously we need to win. The problem is, even if we lose heavily and sack Jones, I have absolutely zero faith in whoever they pick next. If they got it this spectacularly wrong, what makes anyone think their next pick will be any better? We have to win.

Yep, it was. I think people should stop using his faith to bash him, personally. Think it’s out of order. Many of the best sportstars and coaches are religious. It has no bearing on his ability to manage. It’s a bit embarrassing to use it as a stick to beat him with.

Thats because our squad was signed with Ralph ball in mind - work hard out of possession, close down opposition, pass and move. Jonesball is totally different. Kick it up in the air, swing crosses in, “be aggressive”. This was blatantly fucking obvious to absolutely everyone except the idiots in charge of the club. In some ways I feel sorry for Jones as he has been thrown in to a club that has zero players that fit his hoof ball league one tactics. But equally I don’t because he’s an absolute helmet.

I can live with him digging back at fans etc. Fine. We’ve sung songs at him, we deserve some stick back if he turns it around and wins a game. (Not that he will). We earned our way into this league. It took years. It took money from Liebherr, Cortese’s cunning and then a team spirit which took us into Europe. We have had some amazing footballers and managers at the club. We were nearly extinct but we rose like a Phoenix. And what a journey it was. But now it’s all been pissed away by Rupert Lowe mk2 who thinks he has reinvented football. And some welsh prick who thinks he’s Jose Mourinho. It’s actually disgusting. I regret calling for Ralph to go. I thought we would appoint someone of premier league quality to light a spark at the club. But I would so much rather Ralph (who was a decent bloke) be here and go down and rebuild than these ****ing charlatans
