Not sure that's how footballers think tbh - most tend to be extremely driven from the ones that I have met and spoken to - nowadays you don't become a pro by not working hard and wanting to progress.

Not quite sure how we get to the 1:1 combat ratio that's being reported when 70% at least are not combatants (I am assuming that women and children aren't fighting for Hamas).

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5wel11pgdo Hearty congrats all round to the Israeli's for this statistic.

That's just standard shit - happens at all clubs that are facing adversity and poor performances. TBF, there is a lot you can level at RM, and deservedly, but he is widely known for being an excellent man manager, and that the players do tend to like him.

You can fix two of those very easily, yes, and it should have been done a few weeks ago, but what can you do? The third may mean the other two changes were pointless though.

It was a joke mate, I was living in New York at the time so didn't get to any other games in the Koeman era.

Lack of set piece coach and poor decision making from the defenders.
-
Our defence certainly had a rest in the two 9-0s...

I think there is a fairly easy list of conclusions you can come to with Saints this season. 1. The Manager is not of PL quality. 2. The Backroom staff are not of PL quality. 3. The team as a whole is not of PL quality.
-
Absolutely, I remember going up to Sheffield United in the League Cup and really enjoying my evening. I seem to remember our fans booing Mane that night as well.
-
I don't personally think Martin can coach a defence. A manager, however, doesn't have to be a good coach - he just has to meld together the separate areas into a coherent unit. However, his backroom team needs to be able to coach. When our keepers were shit 5 or 6 years ago, we ended up getting rid of Dave Watson, the GK coach. We seem to concede a lot of goals from set pieces, yet we don't have a full time set piece coach. Colin fucking Calderwood is our defensive coach (another PL defender). Perhaps there is a further issue, and that is that the backroom team is incomplete and/or incompetent.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Let's wait and see. We don't know ATM. Criticism should not be made on predictions and forecasts, but on performance. -
The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

It amazes me the fuss that is being made when a Labour Government do a Labour thing. Out of everyone on here, I should be the most pissed off - you lot have not seen anywhere near the amount of money wiped off their estate that I have. However, I have consistently said to my family and friends that I would happily pay more tax if we see investment in public services and infrastructure. This is what we are getting. All the shit about the OBR forecasts as well. Who gives a fuck what they're saying in 4 to 5 years, there are tons of budgets within that timeframe to take into account the fucked up geo-political landscape and the economic wasteland that is Brexit. Suck it up blue bitches - the only reason we have a Labour government is because of the pure incompetence, dishonesty and corruption of your party. You lot only have yourselves to blame. -
Yes, I have said for the last 4 weeks he needs to go.
-
He literally said this: If you two are going to sneak around trying to put pincer movements on anyone that says anything positive about a Saints win, then make sure you know what each others going to say first. It's so cringe when it doesn't work.
-
Absolutely it is - essentially it works for players of City etc because they have the vision, control and technique to do it. They don't have 3 Championship CB's trying to start moves.
-
Maybe tell @AlexLaw76that as that was the basis of his argument.
-
I've answered above. I don't think it works with such a poor team.
-
I'm not saying it has worked. It's not a tactic I would use in the PL with a Championship quality team. Irrelevant of that, it is what he wants us to do.
-
It's a result of players making mistakes - I'm not really sure how that means he endorses it. He doesn't want players to make mistakes, but all players do. He endorses the tactic of keeping the ball, yes. He doesn't endorse the tactic of giving the ball away.
-
That's not a tactical instruction from Martin, no.
-
The theory of keeping the ball - I would assume so, yes - but he doesn't control every pass and decision on the pitch. Essentially the tactic draws in players to allow us to overload in areas of the pitch and allow us to move quickly through the lines. We do pass back a lot and it is frustrating, but that's only part of the Martin tactics.
-
Good result - thought we'd win this one as I said earlier in the week. Got a bit of luck but we've been utterly screwed with luck so far this season so think it's fair we at least got some. I did notice an utter love-in for Dyche earlier in the week - I'm assuming we would no longer want him as Manager. There also seems to be a lot of comments about the fact that of course we scored by moving the ball quicker as if that's a slight on Martin - Martin has consistently said he wants the ball to be moved quicker so it's good the players followed his instructions.

How do you search on this fucking forum? I'm trying to find it.

I did, yes.
