Bazunu is the perfect example why modern day football shouldn't neglect on having a proper shot-stopper. His shot stopping is league one at best.

He was the worst keeper in the league last season as far as shot stopping goes, and thus far still the worst keeper in the league having let in 6.1 more goals than expected against inferior opposition. When will the statistical evidence be substantial enough for you to acknowledge his consistent underperformance?

Yep the statistics don't mean a thing I know... Baz was rock bottom last season as well why not continue the trend? I mean our defence is shit and Baz is worth about 20m quid after all. At this point I'd rather have my dad after 5 pints in goal for us than Bazunu.

Sorry but that just doesn't make any sense, below, you'll find the bottom10 goalkeeping statistics out of 208 goalkeepers in the top 5 European leagues. He is statistically the worst keeper when measured on key performance indicators such as save % and post shot expected goals against, for instance he let in 16.6 goals that he should have saved which places him last (out of 208 GKs!! Ffs!).

Statistically, he was one of the worst keepers in the top5 big leagues last season, and that's out of at least 150 goalkeepers. So yes your emphasis on awful is prob not wrong.

I'd still prefer him over Bazunu today, he might actually make a save.

Granted our defence is shit, but it's also devastating to the team's psychology when you constantly concede and get behind. At this level, it is expected that a goalkeeper will occasionally make game-saving stops to keep you competitive, however, with Bazunu in goal, it feels like any half-assed shot on target will get past him. The lack of action from the management to address the situation is frankly negligent.

If we persist with a goal keeper so far out of his depth we're going to stay in Championship limbo for a long time to come. Look at Leicester City, they persisted with Danny Ward last season and it got them relegated.

Agreed, Leicester made the same mistake with Danny Ward. Can't underestimate the importance of having a proper keeper, I honestly wouldn't want Bazunu to start for us in the championship.
