Well you seem to have racked up more posts on this particular thread than anyone else so apparently you want to get your underwhelmed feeling across a little more than anyone else. Most people are keeping their powder dry of course as any foreign signing can be a risk. The South Americans moreso than any other historically. However it's only right to get a little excited over seeing any new signing in my eyes. This one perhaps more than someone like Frazer Richardson purely because of the unknown factor. I like the unknown. ------------------------- Oh and getting back to the South Americans thing i really can't go along with the suggestion that Pardew screwed up with Macherano and Tevez. Both players have openly admitted that it was quite a culture shock...our game being so quick. And to my mind Mascherano didn't even get the swing of it until his second season at Liverpool. In fact i can't think of many foreign imports that do get off to a flyer in their first season...Torres being one...certainly not many from South America though.
