  1. Had a better record than Will but not great for the family brand. Watford is a gig you do if you’re out of work and fancy a 6 month pay off within 3 months of starting.
  2. Level the odds and put Gavin Bazunu the hologram in goal for Hullwall City. Shot on goal = Saints goal.
  3. Horrific hack across the line from Middleton, like Weatherley another batter well below FC level who needs FT employment and enjoy his cricket in the local leagues. Today has to be the day for Tom Prest, 43 no and needs a big ton. The forecast may save Hampshire if they put in a little more effort this afternoon on a road to play straight to very modest bowling. The new coach is already under pressure I suspect. Yusuf has been useless, worse than Hampton. Get an overseas batsman in and draw our way to staying up.
  4. Saints won and have a home second leg, Torquay beat Dorking 4-2 and talk of the final v Hornchurch being at Brisbane Road as Hornchurch’s stadium will be grossly inadequate. Torquay would probably fill that stadium. Will be swapping places with Exeter City within a couple of seasons, Exeter in huge trouble and heading into non league again over the next year or two. Gulls getting 6k plus gates in the sixth tier.
  5. A Utilita shirtfront. Important thing is beat the follow on when we bat and take our time. No T20 crap. On this surface, we should be expecting a couple of hundreds and at least two 50s from the top six, in additions to contributions further down. That needs to be set as a minimum standard in the dressing room as their attack isn’t especially potent. I’d seriously question if any of the top 6 have a future at the club if that can’t be done. Lehmann has had to go home so he can’t prop them up this time. Ben Brown is a shit captain though. Needs another ton to stay in the team and I hope Russell Domingo tells him that.
  6. Add in another ingredient with the newspapers each with non-doms with different and very partisan axes to grind plus the sheer toxicity on social media and we are getting the culture we deserve. I haven’t been pro-Royal until very recently but that speech by Charles in Congress was ace. Reminded me of what being British is really about. Not the populist hate-mongering scum on the far left and far right. I know people want to give Labour and the Tories a kicking this month but giving these wankers more encouragement is poor judgement.
  7. It’s exactly where the Corbynites have gone. There’s the populist left being anti-Semitic - not liberals @whelk - and there’s been plenty of it in local election materials from both Greens and Reform. And then plain old anti-black from Reform at al https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn8p70xpyzeo
  8. Quelle surprise, he’s an arsehole.
  9. I certainly wouldn’t criticise the officers, and after prosecuting the terrorist I’d deport him the same day of eventual release. I was just reflecting on how I’d present it if I was their union rep in the Met.
  10. Glamorgan will be delighted with that news. Hope all well for Jake. Can’t see where the runs are coming from otherwise.
  11. If he’s tried to stab the officers as well, then I’d go with the defence of making sure he wasn’t in a position to have another go.
  12. I was going to reply to St Louis directly but this post saved me a job.
  13. Comes down to reasonable force. Probably fails on that aspect but it’s the human emotions of reacting to an extremist scumbag who just stabbed people with no connection to the conflicts or causes of the Israel conflicts and Netanyahu/Ben Givr’s dreadful behaviour.
  14. Islamic and Zionist extremism are two halves of a vile coin which does the planet great harm and not least the Middle East. They can be condemned separately and together without sides being taken.
  15. Did they try you make you go to rehab? Or watch a game sitting next to MLG?
  16. Probably not as bad as Covent Garden 1991 v the skates. It was very unfriendly for the blue few.
  17. Just like 1984 when through with only Shilts to beat.
  18. Obvious as I predicted that he’d never be able to ‘hang up his keyboard’. Sympathies with any of the locals in the Lowford pubs John hasn’t been banned from. I would say Bursledon but that’s not really staggering distance these days for the old soak.
  19. It was, but alone his lack of judgement of seeing Gavin Bazunu in pre-season and thinking he’d be ok for a team chasing top 2/6 and then binning him as quickly as Gavin’s disaster at Hull was part of the issue. Tonda did initially make the mistake of going with him but pretty quickly and clearly said to Spors ‘this guy is a total Rasmus Ankersen joke, get me a more solid keeper on loan in January because Alex is middle aged as an alternative. Get the twat (Bazunu) gone’. It’s tricky in a new job but decrying his keeping options after Ramsdale went to Newcastle was the experienced manager thing to do. As others have identified, starting Ross Stewart 3 times in a week with his injury history when he found form was brainless. It’s a mystery that the right back at Brentford came here highly regarded but looked like Steve Baker under Still. Jelert is a tart and James Bree was loaned out, but has pissed all over these two since he came back.
  20. In terms of supermarket bread, pittas only tend to have a couple of ingredients if you want them for sandwiches and filling.
  21. Did you see that article about Cradley Heath in the Black Country? Convenience stores selling BBC reporters coke for £90.
  22. Sourdough relatively easy to make, and trendy so big mark up, hence a lot of the Cotswold stone towns have got bakeries springing up making it. Moreton in particular has a lot of bakeries for a small town. Our local bakers is a lot more traditional and I like that. Focuses on white/granary farmhouse loaves, they do have sourdoughs but it’s not a trashy staple. No additives, preservatives or other such crap. Does mean freezing and defrosting in summer but small price to pay.
  23. Then again, based on other Wolves fan behaviours, probably not surprising. AA would be advised not to miss any sitters from 5 yards up there
  24. Without turning into MLG, it’s good years of health declining by 2 years rather than actual life expectancy per se. Still significant and not downplaying it though, plus the extra strain it places on public health resources.
