  1. Tonda is very particular about his dry cleaning though.
  2. Had it whilst playing for us.
  3. I’d certainly recommend contraception at least.
  4. Wouldn’t be much better with a hard on tbf
  5. That appeal was a load of Ben White.
  6. Young, old, any age, No Manning Land getting skinned is a given.
  7. The ‘Spirit of 76’ banner
  8. Imagine if Dowman opens the scoring? Crispy stains in the studio and commentary box.
  9. I’m sure he does, pal.
  10. He’s been Caspar the Ghost for a few weeks.
  11. Happy to pick up his pension top up for two years though.
  12. Nathan isn’t an advocate of the song ‘Close to You’ when it comes to centre forwards and marking.
  13. Realistically Kevin James is right, we’re a poor red ball side and staying up under our own steam would represent progress. There’s a bit of Saints 08/09 there. Key will be the Leicestershire and Sussex games plus anyone else drawn in at the bottom. Win/do not lose those and it doesn’t matter about the other games where we get a few hidings by an innings off Surrey/Essex/Notts/Warwicks and at least a couple will be rain draws.
  14. Prest at #3 is mystifying as well. He can score a few when the mood takes him in white ball - although was poor even in One Day Cup last year - but very little defensive technique and better off trying to develop his bowling and have him coming in at 7 or 8 to smack a few runs with the tail. Horrible dismissal today. Or maybe use him for white ball only. Lehmann looks like he is motivated at least which is a rarity in this squad. Relying on him to go on tomorrow, Brown and Dawson. Because there isn’t much else really in terms of Division One calibre batting.
  15. Bad light, Essex declared at 461/7. Possible play will re-start but less likely. Assuming it doesn’t, new ball didn’t do anything today unlike yesterday and Harmer, who is a decent lower order bat but not an all rounder, getting 71 no removes any excuses for the Hants top order. Getting past the follow on figure is the first key task.
  16. Eddie Jack is a good prospect, Baker bowled well earlier in the day. Weatherley’s drop of Tom Westley might hurt us if he hasn’t broken a finger and returns tomorrow. Key learning for our batters is to keep it tight first 20-30 overs when it’s doing plenty and then the conditions get better and you can cash in like the Essex middle order has.
  17. Does the club shop stock XXL in shorts? Ah, got you, that’s not the massive you meant.
  18. I’d solve that by middle class parents having to pay to larger fines than now which might require instalments to pay off over a period of months, so that it has an impact across the household. Not having the holiday they were expecting and being confronted by angry siblings would be a memory of the consequences. If the family has no financial headroom to pay then no provisional licence before the age of 25 for the young offender. If you don’t want the consequences, don’t commit anti-social offences and cost businesses through violence.
  19. Prosecutions coming back in for offences under £200 I think I read.
  20. Baker got rid of Paul Walter - Essex 27-2. Abbott got his former colleague Elgar early, which will have been music to his ears, but he kept composed.
  21. These behaviours seem to go in cycles but SM definitely has a role in them mobilising at scale. Seeing increased railway trespass disruption as well. BTP need to cut out the negotiation, one warning get off the railway, second here’s a taser I’ll use it, ok then crackle. Couldn’t care less if they’re 18 or under. Do as you’re told. It would send a message and set boundaries. In the larger retail incidents, a good deterrent is to mess around with their futures eg delay driving licence eligibility into their 20s. I’d be happy for any of the parents on benefits (recognising when I was that age in the late 80s onwards kids in trouble were from a range of backgrounds) to get a suspended reduction for first incident and 3 months at 10% for the next. Letting the whole family down hits home.
  22. It’s fucked Farage’s polling and they won’t rebound. Every cloud and a silver lining… I despise Donald Trump but even I didn’t think he’d be anywhere near this bad second time around, but people did warn about the lack of guardrails which were in place last time. Biden with dementia was 10000% times better, let alone Biden without. Let alone Reagan, Obama, Bush Snr. Heck, even Bush Jr.
  23. And another poster. I think you are right, an alter ego.
  24. Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains aren’t too shabby either
