Although frankly the fucking line up Ivan Juric for the Chelsea game just picked makes any politician look sane. -
The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

As a Liberal Democrat voter, I didn’t agree with the employers NI rise, it should have been the employees NI rise revoked as it clearly wasn’t affordable. Not the route to growth. Reynolds pissed me off and Starmer needs to shake the tree for any more duds. Some promising signs on the boats and asylum, more than Braverman or Patel ever managed. The only way to really get out this mess is to rejoin the Single Market, we can’t have the services we are used to, decent roads and infrastructure with 6% of the economy missing. I guess we will gradually move back nearer that but not as fast as I want and we need. Hopefully the MAGA implosion over DOGE and Trump being crystal clear about not being fussed about European security or prosperity will underscore this for all bar the most hardcore Red Wall seats. It won’t do the populists much good either being on the wrong side with Putin. Reform will probably still beat the Tories next time though as they leak further seats to the Liberals lurching even further right. -
If there’s one positive that’s coming out of this…

Absolutely spot on Glen. The club might as well have a tombola and pick a supporter’s name to be in the dug out each for the remaining torture. If there’s a weirdo out there with a ‘philosophy’ that loves picking players out of position, Saints will find them and hire them.

Americans voted for it so they have to do the work themselves to oppose and mitigate it, my sole concern is for the impact of foreign policy on the UK and Europe. However, just as Liz Truss was the Mail and Telegraph’s wet dream in economic policy that turned into a global laughing stock, so Musk’s implosion is further learning for our electorate to keep the elements in the press and ERG/Reform who want DOGE and other lunacy in this country on a very short leash.
-
More town hall meetings about DOGE have recordings coming out from across America. Musk is really making the wheels fall off the MAGA car even faster than anyone every thought possible.

The ‘Norfolk Cafu’ no less. Although Rangers got the Lidl instant coffee version at the back end of his career on loan from Norwich.

Judging by the rest of this season’s displays, capitulations and lack of running/organisation/being bothered, they clearly didn’t want to play for Russell either. Including his supposed best mate Flynn from TOWIE (or the only way is Suffolk) Hopefully 95% of them find new homes during the summer because the thought of them still wearing SFC shirts next season is horrifying.

Even Che would’ve scored that! Does Rasmus deliberately go around the world looking for the most shit players he can find on video clips? He’d have signed Ali Dia for £30m in today’s money.

And those three clubs didn’t squander tens of millions on Man City academy products. Only Lavia was fit (a relative term) for purpose, Edozie ok for the division below but only that, Bazanu not fit for above League 2 if that high, and a photo of Larios should be on a milk carton he’s been missing that long. The club was hollowed out, I get what CAM is trying to say, and Ralph worn out. But SR had time and resource to fix both well. Instead, they bottled the manager issue and instead of investing heavily in the spine of the squad, they sold the only bit of it left for a pittance, relying on an 18 year old, and spunked the rest up the wall on data-driven gambling madness that a couple more might turn a profit. In other words people who don’t have a clue how to run a top level football club or any organisation come to that.

The TSP on YouTube reckoned our financial situation was better as the (mostly) crap Rasmus signed in January 2022 has rolled over on the 3 year basis for PSR plus the non-Lavia transactions from summer 2022, which was a restriction last time. So no talk of stupid spending but that there would be more than last time and selling valuations would be stuck to even more so. If Dibling and Fernandes, the two most in demand, go early for good fees, the club can get maximum for THB or even hold onto him.

There’s the 18 who voted against 16 dead end shitholes, plus Hungary and Israel who are led by total and utter cunts.

Smallbone is a good shout for either of the Old Firm. Good footballer, nice touch, passing range and can finish well. Just hasn’t got a physique suited to English football at all unless he’s willing to really work at it, and if he can’t, Old Firm and European football might work for Will as long as Saints weren’t too greedy on the fee eg £5-8m. Celtic probably better with the RoI connection.

Simon Rusk - Promoted to First Team Coach

The only egg Ivan will be receiving is one thrown at him from the Itchen. Or from the dug out and Flynn Downes. -

Really should have been an A side on What’s the Story -
From what I can gather, he’s one of 3 names, Barry Ferguson interim manager.

It was summed up by the Mark Bowen video where Les suggested buying Jannik Vestergaard. Both Mark Hughes and him said ‘no Les, come on, he might be very tall but he can’t run, no good in the PL’. They come back off holiday and find that Reed had signed him anyway! Les was poor without a big name manager with him, and Rasmus far worse again. Ralph had to feed off all of scraps and off cuts in the transfer market under Gao.

I don’t think he’s shite overall and can be PL level, but has been disappointing this season. Certainly not comfortable as part of a back 5, but with proper DMCs in front of him screening, and some pace with him he could be a good PL centre half. I don’t think he’s that sluggish but partnering Bednarek who isn’t the quickest and gets caught out of position plus the lack of midfield screen is a brutal combination. Adding the pace of Wood didn’t seem to help THB (eg Villa mix up) and Wood isn’t ready yet to be part of a PL back 4. Put Romeo in front of him and he’d have been fine. Congratulations by the way in joining MLG in an exclusive club - the Paul Chuckle confused emoji club

Russell’s loan spell there towards the end of his playing career wasn't too stellar either.
-
It would be a good appointment for them and him if he’s had time to reflect self-critically on why things didn’t go as well this season. With the exception of 100mph Old Firm games, possession based will work for a big fish in that league and probably in Europe if he adapts it. Big club and profile even if the SPL is weak. In terms of SFC personnel, Aribo is a legend up there but wages would be an issue unless Joe swaps length of contract slightly taking into account the relegation reduction. Manning is likely, but I don’t think Rangers can afford the fee for Downes unless their new owners really put their hand in their pocket. I don’t know what their keeper is like but Bazanu on loan might suit him, Saints and Martin. Fraser likes the south coast of England and could still do a job in the Champ next year.

Yes, I think the new German Chancellor is right to refer to cutting the grass from under AFD’s feet, and that todays issues with the former East will be the 2030s in what was West Germany if there’s not serious action on freedom of movement economically vs asylum. Hopefully he can team up with the UK and lean hard on the EU to develop a more contemporary approach to counter extremism of the white and Islam varieties as well the impact of climate change pushing more people north.
