  1. Yes, about five streets from our house. The town, population around 6k, also has a butcher, deli, craft/gift shops, small supermarkets, cafe, boutique, and four pubs. No candlestick makers though.
  2. In more severe ADHD cases, Ritalin can be prescribed but very sparingly as it comes with a number of side effects, albeit many of these are temporary https://www.healthline.com/health/adhd/ritalin-effects-on-body
  3. McCain Naked aren’t too bad for frozen ones when we’re tired and back from work late, but we try and make our own seasoned potato wedges.
  4. It’s all of the emulsifiers, monos and preservatives which concern me, we still don’t really know in the long-term what impact they have on the human body. And no need for many of them to be there, especially not in frozen food. Shop bought cakes and biscuits are one of the worst offenders. It’s everywhere at work and just before lunchtime out of meetings it does get tempting sometimes. Being lactose intolerant has some benefits though as most of the time I can’t eat it!
  5. Buy mine from the local baker in the town, four ingredients, crusty whole meal loaf. It toasts and cuts superbly. Agree on the part-baked bread being better on less ingredients, I never buy supermarket ready sliced stuff.
  6. The longer the ingredients list the less we should be buying it.
  7. I think they’ll just avoid with a couple of April wins against teams in mid-table thinking of their holidays but part of me does see benefits in the club humiliated with a single figure points total to remove any trace of the misplaced smugness and complacency particular towards our supporters since 2017. Get a bit of fire and drive back in the bellies and also it might force a total change of the guard in how SFC is run. Come back with the biggest budget in the league, recruitment to excite the fans, autos with 100 points and the narrative would be of incredible comeback and renewal. Ball in Dragan’s court.
  8. Not disputing any of this as I clearly don’t know the people, but ASD and especially ADHD can be more effectively managed if captured 11-18. And it is possible a few youngsters might jump on a bandwagon but we are not talking about low mood here, it is more likely to be social anxiety but also some fairly serious difficulties with everyday organisation. The good news is with a diagnosis and the much better support around these days young people can catch up and with the right reasonable adjustments (often free or next to no cost) in education, home and work, they can live fulfilling lives. Not getting a diagnosis during that window and the longer their life goes on, the prognosis is much less rosy https://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/2025/jan/adults-diagnosed-adhd-may-have-reduced-life-expectancies The risk is that other diagnosed and medically/legally recognised neurodiversities get caught in the tabloid dragnet - dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD including Asperger’s and Autism.
  9. This is the closing credits tune I remember. Except that for Southampton FC it would be 🎵 ‘Defecation, that’s what you need if you’re going to be a Derby record breaker 🎵 None of our sorry players will be first at any tape.
  10. Dragan will need to dig deep to catch up with them financially. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did what Norwich, Saints and Ipswich did.
  11. Here’s a post of yours I do agree with.
  12. Dibling, and I don’t know about SAA but he showed more in one cameo than Fraser showed all of this season. Meghoma gets in Brentford’s squads yet didn’t get a sniff with us. There’s no more evidence that Wellington and any other of Rasmus’s cut price clutter will be PL suitable either. At least the club has seen the development of these lads over a period and has some sense of potential. If we’re not going to use the academy other than for making the odd modest profit like Meghoma, why not actually the going rate for a first team player in that position rather than three that aren’t? Nothing bonkers about that but then I didn’t spend months backing a manager severely out of his depth did I? Dry cleaning is ready.
  13. Tractor names should have been Taylor, Jan and Lesley. Although you’d probably see Lesley more at Fawley.
  14. Even under Ralph, whenever Jan scored in a home game it always meant a 2-3 home defeat, obviously today we only got the one.
  15. Which is great but where’s the pathway with all of the squad bloating again? Ryan Fraser struggles to get into squads, Edozie has done OK in Belgium but not pulled up major trees and he’s back again in the summer. Just two examples, plus the assorted stock Rasmus has signed and loaned to Goztepe. How many left backs have we got now including an injured Brazilian? And rumours of another from Reading.
  16. Much of that is true, but Newcastle have been more limited in what they can spend by FFP and Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton don’t have Saudi backing. Much as I detest Stockley Park the main reason we are hating this season is that Sports Republic have completely destroyed anything and everything we valued about SFC, which was already hollowed out under Gao. Tony Bloom is worth the same kind of ballpark as Dragan but the attention to detail and clarity on their transfer business and structure means that they not only trade players like we used to but when De Zerbi left, they got the succession right again, just like they did when Potter went to Chelsea, Bournemouth have the equivalent of Pochettino as manager, very highly regarded. Fit, high tempo style of play, beat Forest 5-0 today, who have been superb themselves under Nuno. On 12000 gates. We’ve got the best foundations out of those clubs but so, so, so poorly run. The only way to sort it is new CEO, DoF, First Team Manager and biggest budget in the Championship. Big names. Clean the squad out as far as possible, and blow the division out the water like Wolves did under Nuno. Re-make the entire club. Then SR might, just might not be regarded as a total fucking joke by the industry, media and our fanbase. And it’s the least they owe the fanbase and city of Southampton frankly, we’re not even first in their food chain of clubs.
  17. I wouldn’t have much in common with either camp. Cross out the political on the thread title and insert Sports Republic - that’d be more like it.
  18. SR have destroyed anything that was positive and worth supporting about SFC so the academy was bound to be high on their hit list. It didn’t fit with Rasmus’s model of data-driven trading of third rate players with exotic surnames. Shouldn’t be surprised after Brentford scrapped theirs but talk about not understanding the DNA of a club. Muppets.
  19. Yeah, this has to be the worst. 🛑
  20. Whoever it was will make a fair few bob out of that one, and why not.
  21. Could be as early as mid-March.
  22. One and the same people involved I expect.
  23. I don’t think it can be properly judged until there’s vague evidence of some ‘performances’ for the fans to watch, let alone get behind. Unless the club has a flying start next season, which I very much doubt, I can see gates dropping below 20k quite quickly.
  24. Still more competitive than we’ve been - compare our result at Bournemouth - had someone in charge who knows the club inside out and the fans trust. Juric is in an impossible position - dreadful squad Rasmus and Martin built unsuited to the league, unfit, and very difficult to build that connection. The people SR have appointed just do not have any credibility with the fanbase and media like Wilder has there in terms of credit in the bank.
  25. For Luton, being in the PL in the first place was a massive bonus. Not surprised they had a hangover and Barkley was immense for them. The expectation at SFC is very different, it’s an established PL set up bar the actual football. S-Clarke is right, the club would be like a soiled bed by May, all the top positions at the club would need changing.
