  1. I sense a change on business rates for pubs, and needs to be https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy59k2rdkv5o The behaviour of certain pubcos needs reining in though.
  2. You missed the ed off piss in Johnny’s case.
  3. https://www.veeraswamy.com
  4. West Ham wanted a show a bit more punch but not quite like that…. KWP did well apart from the corner, shouldn’t be back post anyway. As for Fernandes, very anonymous. 🎵 Matty Fernandes, he’ll bring the drop for you 🎵
  5. Only arguably Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen were sustained successes from that huge list.
  6. Source? Not saying it’s accurate or factual either but the fact that the local paper and fanzine editor have felt able to go to print tells me it’s not a pure coincidence.
  7. His type is clearly distressed mid-size clubs but good luck to him and a promotion in role.
  8. 🤞 but he will need to score some goals and show more (or even some) enthusiasm and work rate. Let’s hope for all parties that he does so. Surely he cannot be as bad a player as we witnessed?
  9. Massaging Ankerson’s neck at the pottery wheel.
  10. I think Nick might be onto something here, Alfie House’s posts were not random comments, I reckon Spors or someone else in the club’s leadership is trying to buy Tonda more time after the latest and most pathetic capitulation at Boro by pointing the finger at Martin’s luvvies and House fired the bullets. Unlikely that’s come without some prompting https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/65411/
  11. He’s jealous of Rasmus, Spors and Garner having theirs done by Fabrice.
  12. SMS certainly lacks in the way of chicken dinners.
  13. Notnowcato would have a few Bob coming his way for the Carlton Palmer post - at least 80 laughing emojis on that one.
  14. Sounds like a good fit, they’re as much of a mess as Saints and SR.
  15. Over at the Bursledon Windmill, Johnny has been drinking very strong cider all day to combat the cold. Even though alcoholism has driven away all of his family, any friends he ever had and made him a dinosaur of the forum of his favourite football club. Which he still can’t stay away from despite promising to ‘hang his keyboard up’ for good because his life is so empty.
  16. Neither was Ian Branfoot but we’d seen his Reading teams and it was obvious it wasn’t a fit with how Nicholl had us playing for several years nor the squad we had. Like the lack of fit with Branfoot’s style, Southampton Football has spent 50 of the last 60 years in the top flight. It and SR sorely lacks senior personnel with the track record to get and stay there. If that’s the question then Garner clearly isn’t the answer. If the question is - ‘how does Southampton Football Club become entrenched as a lower Championship and League 1 club’ then he might well be the answer. BRFC and Charlton fans and press might have a different view https://gaschat.co.uk/thread/17710/ben-garner-failure and https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hope-kills-you-ben-garner-6004648 https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/23171347.charlton-athletic-sack-ben-garner-months-leaving-swindon-town/
  17. Do the major states want to be part of a large non-democratic autocracy that flies in the face of the Founding Fathers? Some of the bigger ones won’t, especially Blue states, and could be some internal warfare as a result.
  18. Agreed with most of your post but take a look on the Ben Garner thread and the excellent research done on there about the clear links to Rasmus. If true, and it looked compelling, crystal clear that Rasmus and not Spors is pulling the strings.
  19. NATO has to fight Trump if he does that and back Denmark up. I think that would be the point the electorate turns violent against Trump, the vile Stephen Miller, Bondi and the rest.
  20. If they aren’t, the larger and wealthier states with a coastline who could trade have the option of breaking away and I absolutely would not blame them. Seattle and Washington State would be better off with Canada as well.
  21. @SouSaint posted it on one of the threads, probably the GB ones itself. Stalling on it apparently (before he drops it!).
  22. Been in that exact situation earlier in my career and it’s not good, had to move on as the CEO wasn’t going to removed by the board for another 18 months (although a spectacular, bitter and public blow up when it eventually happened!). Rasmus has to go, that’s the only way Dragan can keep our fans vaguely onside and I doubt he’s willing to do that so I think he has to sell or own an asset leaking cash with a very disengaged base as Lowe found out. As for the troublemaking players, THB didn’t get the move he expected in the summer partly due to injury but with his poor displays will struggle to break even on him now, Manning might get a taker on a nominal because of his set pieces (a shit Iain Harte), Downes medical issues are well known and no chance of recouping what the club paid. At least Fraser looks like he’s moved on. Can’t believe they’ve allegedly offered Bazunu a new deal, Ankerson yet again. Cheers Russell.
  23. Not surprising and even in the Branfoot years there were still people on the Milton sneering and saying ‘who are you going to replace him with then?’. Very much a minority but they were there. The SR Out stickers are a good idea, proliferate them like the Benali Panini ones. The flags are probably more an away games item as the SMS stewards will be under orders to dispose of those and eject fans, as we saw with the brilliant Itchen P45 for Nathan Jones.
  24. I can only comment from my perspective but Rasmus Ankerson having zero involvement in Southampton Football Club operations, player recruitment and decision-making is a non-negotiable. Read the excellent research on the Ben Garner thread and you will see his fingerprints all over it. That bloke has done more harm to the club than Lowe and Les Reed post-2017 combined.
