That experience can’t be ignored but training and u23 matches only replicates match day situations so far, although obviously important in preparation. Let’s see how Gavin does in the first 3-4 games and if he’s free of major faults, claiming crosses well and making the saves he should be as well as the ones that are over and above a couple of times then as a fanbase we can start saying ‘you know, I think Gavin has developed and grown’.
