Re the Tarkowski tackle I thought it looked bad at the game but seeing it again on MOTD I really did think it was a red card all day long. One other thought, judging from what I saw yesterday next year's Oscars should be full of Premier League players. Best actors on the planet.

Also the speed of transition of other teams when generally compared to ours. Apart from the goal and perhaps one or two other occasions yesterday we are generally slow in working the ball up the field. Other teams we’ve played have seemed to be so much faster in this.

I think you are maybe overstating it the feeling. Plenty of discontent with the amount of backwards movement where I was, and more than a modicum of relief at the final whistle. We weren’t that great.

I'm on a fence about this too. Win and get the desperately needed three points, RM will feel vindicated and able to carry on with his turgid style of football, lose and it might just be goodbye. I really don't know what I'm hoping for the most.

I would have to subscribe to that. 65+ years in and still counting thankfully, it is the most boring, inept style of football as I've ever seen at St. Mary's or at the Dell. I have to mention also in my opinion we have one of the most arrogant and self-serving managers we've ever had, in my opinion the club doesn't matter to him,the only things that seem to matter are his opinions and his style of football which patently aren't working at the moment.

What the hell does it matter what he or Silva said, we still came away with nothing. I would far rather he thought we were the lousiest, dirtiest,most untalented team in the PL and come away with the points.
