There is no world where 12 points is an acceptable return. No one will get less than 20 points this season I can almost guarantee you that.

In reality saves to shots ratio was one of the worst of all 24 clubs, and I think his “expected saved ratio” was the very worst by a country mile. Other than that, top keeper yeah.

This is what I don’t understand. By all accounts Lumley is comfortably better than Long, so why on earth are we deliberately downgrading the ability level of our 3rd choice keeper. May as well have kept Lumley surely. The more you see the transfer movements in and out at this club, the more it becomes apparent that they haven’t a clue what they’re doing. You tend to lose faith in any footballing organisation who goes in to a premier league season with no football expertise at board level and so scratches around for scatter gun transfers between the manager at the time, and a few random board members with no footballing background. Scandalous

Even if that’s somewhat true in isolation , we have heard this every year and every window under this lot: “let’s just wait to see what happens….oh we fucked up again”…..6 months later let’s wait to see how this pans out…..oh look we’ve bollocksed it up again. It’s getting fucking tedious . we aren’t suddenly making season changing signings in the next week. We may make one signing who contributes, but that’ll be your lot. If we don’t get our main targets we will just fill 2-3 extra places with total dross from abroad, probably between the age of 18-21. These owners are incapable.

If this is true about the Norwich 3rd choice keeper and he is that bad, then why actually sign him at all? Because sure as hell they clearly won’t ever want to be in a situation where he actually plays, so just don’t fucking bother if that’s the case. What a bizarre signing to make and I can only think the rationale must be “let’s spend peanuts on someone so bad that Bazunu won’t ever be threatened by, but at the same time we’ve got a body in so it looks like we’ve got ample cover now” .
