This is what I don’t understand. By all accounts Lumley is comfortably better than Long, so why on earth are we deliberately downgrading the ability level of our 3rd choice keeper. May as well have kept Lumley surely. The more you see the transfer movements in and out at this club, the more it becomes apparent that they haven’t a clue what they’re doing. You tend to lose faith in any footballing organisation who goes in to a premier league season with no football expertise at board level and so scratches around for scatter gun transfers between the manager at the time, and a few random board members with no footballing background. Scandalous

Even if that’s somewhat true in isolation , we have heard this every year and every window under this lot: “let’s just wait to see what happens….oh we fucked up again”…..6 months later let’s wait to see how this pans out…..oh look we’ve bollocksed it up again. It’s getting fucking tedious . we aren’t suddenly making season changing signings in the next week. We may make one signing who contributes, but that’ll be your lot. If we don’t get our main targets we will just fill 2-3 extra places with total dross from abroad, probably between the age of 18-21. These owners are incapable.

If this is true about the Norwich 3rd choice keeper and he is that bad, then why actually sign him at all? Because sure as hell they clearly won’t ever want to be in a situation where he actually plays, so just don’t fucking bother if that’s the case. What a bizarre signing to make and I can only think the rationale must be “let’s spend peanuts on someone so bad that Bazunu won’t ever be threatened by, but at the same time we’ve got a body in so it looks like we’ve got ample cover now” . And to think he was signed to play at premier league level too last season. Absolutely pathetic signing from these chumps yet again. Last years recruitment has to be up there with the worst in premier league history for getting it wrong with almost every single signing.

I honestly reckon that the club expected Stewart to finally be the main man this season so they’ve half arsed it with the Downs signing, complacently thinking we had enough up front now Stewart was back fit so have signed downs to be a bit part player, which is absolutely fucking ridiculous but would explain why we only spent 8m on a position the club desperately needed. Stewart scoring against Arsenal probably lulled these complacent clowns into thinking he was gonna be the main man this season so we only need a substitute striker to beef the options up, rather than an actual top striker for this level: kind of makes sense now in their fucked up way of thinking. whilst these utter losers are in charge we will never fully return to being a regular premier league club, if we ever return at all under them. Absolutely fucking clueless from top to bottom when it comes to identifying the right players for the club to succeed

Our 2 main signings so far look like bench players at best in Quarshie and Downs. I mean we may aswell have kept Tall Paul as sign Downs, who although it’s still early days, looks absolutely fucking useless. His career record to date had me a bit concerned when we signed him, 11 goals in the German second division wasn’t exactly going to excite anyone. And he’s now showing us why . He’s fucking pony, and looks like he doesn’t want to put himself about much either. I am not sure what it is about this club not wanting to sign players who’ve played in the league we are competing in but it’s pissing me off big time. I know we are apparently now trying to sign top end performing championship players but surely that’s we we needed our main striker signing to be. Now we seem to have wasted that on this fucking donkey . He may prove me wrong but at the moment it’s looking like Yet another string to the ever increasing cluster fuck bow that is sport republics recruitment
