  1. will we get updates on his sandwiches do you think?
  2. Much the same as the trust then!
  3. He can't. Though he could go to the (different) court and claim as a creditor that PKF are failing in their duties as administrators, and ask for a different one to be appointed, giving Guilfoyle as an example of "one I've prepared earlier". At the moment he appears to be simply followong the Goebbels approach to p.r., in the same way as the trust have. By 'eck it's fun though, ain't it fellow nutjobs?

    Moon landings

Look, the people in the Big Bang Theory episode, "the lunar excitation", bounced a laser off the reflector the US left on the Moon. What more proof do you want? You'll be telling me next that the Big Bang Theory is made up too!
  5. That'll be the ones who are still alive presumably?
  6. Definitely correct. In the early days of all-seaters, some clubs just bolted seats on to old terracing to meet the requirement. The view was terrible, because the slope was too shallow. The end opposite the supermarket at the old bolton ground was a good (bad) example if anyone remembers that. Fixed 'bucket' seats, not even tip-up seats, on very shallow terracing.
  7. I was struck by the the FL condition that the trust can't take over "till they have raised the money from supporters that is in their business plan". This is worthy of a small cheer it seems to me So, dream scenario, they win the court case, but still can't take over till they've got as much pledge money in as they claimed they would. (Anyone remember what figure they gave in the plan?) That could take quite a while ... maybe till past the January transfer window? (if ever!) It's the gift that keeps on giving.
  8. So actually, Adam was the member of the squad who didn't go to hospital! Ironic. Mind you, it looks as if several of those players have been photoshopped anywayl Look at Jos for example on the left. The whole thing's a plot I tell you
  9. I always assumed that was the nickname his cockney mates gave him.
  10. Suicide rate in Norway 11.9 per 100,000 people. Rate in UK, 6.9 per 100,000. Interesting indication of 'happiness' !
  11. This .. and where it gets mesy is that the trust is using a property developer to buy the ground, whose motive is to ...err .... redevelop the site to make a profit
  12. A hint of sadism!? --- how dare you !
  13. Anyone know much about the procedure on the 12th? Is there any possibility that the judge will suspend the hearing to seek independent expert advice on the valuation? Or is it certain that there will be a decision there and then? My dream outcome = delay till just after the january window closes, then a takeover of sorts but with only a minority share-holding from the trust of say 30% of the club as such , and the property developer owning the ground. Folowed by -10 points , relegation, total demoralisation and no chance of ever owning or improving Fratton Park.
  14. That's probably true IF they are a successful L2 side. I reckon if they were at the top of L2 they might occasionally even break the 10,000 barrier. Massive club!
  15. I thought maybe we could change the shape of the woodwork? So the ball is deflected in ? Of course the ref may object to us changing the posts over to the other end at half time, but if it is the bloke we had yesterday, he probably won't notice.
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20464371 Statistical evidence indicating that big teams are given an advantage by refs over injury time when playing at home
  17. If those really are their genuine names, that must count as some form of child abuse, surely?
  18. Poster on the News site says it didn't go through.
  19. You mean when they lose the case and are liquidated ?
  20. The high suicide rate wouldn't bother you then? -- approx 2.5 times as high as in the UK. Doesn't tend to suggest it's a happy place to live.
  21. This one had me in stitches!
  22. Events at PFC are funny and crooked enough without our having to make up new rules for them to bend. So to be fair ---- my understanding is that the monthly contracts are a financial constraint imposed by PKF; the FL imposed the 20 man squad limit. This player was on a monthly contract, which meant that if he just left the club as a free agent he'd be stranded, unable to sign for anyone else till the January window. Portsmouth extending his contract enables him to go to Barnsley on loan whilst only nominally being on Portsmouth's books ...costs PFC nothing since Barnsley will pay him, but gains them nothing either (unless Barnsley are downright stupid) and does not count in their 20 man squad.
  23. Dear God! Some people on this forum are first rate pillocks. The OP 'dares' to write a positive comment about our manager and others jump down his throat. Yes lots of footballers and lots of managers give time to charities and events such as the OP described, but also, yes, Adkins does it particularly well, and I have also seen him go the extra mile in similar circumstances. He comes across as a really, genuinely, decent bloke.
  24. Until my position as the most erudite and best-punctuated poster of the year is finally recognised, I refuse to comment.
  25. Anyone know the record for consecutive football league defeats? just asking!
