Tough yes - but I suspect the money softens the blow. I'd put up with a fair bit of abuse for his salary.

Saints 1-2 Arsenal - Thank F**k itβs All Over Thread

Or maybe he'll put Welington at CB and Taylor at LB? Welington has played there before. (Not that it's what I'd do!) -
To Elton John tune ....... "Will Stiil winning after all these years. Still winning!" and repeat.

Which premier league Soccerball club will you support next season?

The thing is, when you've watched football at long as me ... over 50 years.. you have a grudge against just about every team. When I see a game on TV it's not who would I order win. It's who do I want to lose more. Tough choice sometimes! -
Fernandes or Ramsdale for me.

My email just seemed to say if I renew today! Couldn't see the June 12th, so thanks for that.

Edwards is a very good player but he's 4 or 5 inches too short to be a top CB. I'd give him a try as a defensive midfielder. Along with Shea Charles and Flynn Downes (when he's not suspended and if he's not left us) we'd have really solid midfield options to give a base for creative players to build on in front of them.

Brazil .... its just like watching brazil!

So what's the verdict on Ballard now? Didn't score many on loan , but was he fit? Will he be in our championship team?

Commentator seems to think we're still playing Martin's way.

Has your eyebrow seen an earlobe? π

Seriously wondering if that is the plan. Otherwise big Les will have a job on his hands. Personally I'd have put aribo in

Fwd up with owners and managers who seem to think they've found a magic formula, and are determined to stick with it regardless of the evidence of results. Football really isn't that complicated, most players and managers really aren't that bright, and there really isn't any new way of playing that hasn't been tried before. Just appoint someone who will pick players in their correct position and who will change things when necessary rather than stick to a fixed idea.

Even though it stopped a goal against us, you have to say that VAR was a farce. It's supposed to spot clear and obvious errors. If it takes that long to check, it ain't clear and obvious.

Thinking about running a sweepstake with my mates on how many full backs Juric picks this time π
-
Seem to recall that with previous relegations they've kept the price the same but pointed out you get more games for your money!
-
Only 3 full backs! The man has no idea π

Not looking good for Bednarek after that clash
-
Ramsdale, Sugawara, KWP, Manning, Taylor, Wood, THB, Bednarek, ABK, Downes. Big Les, ......and pray π
-
Regardless of whether Juric's tactics are right or not, I find it hard to understand his team selection . If he wanted 3/5 at the back he could have started yesterday with a defence of KWP, Stephens, Bednarek, ABK and Welington. Instead he picked 2 players who are not centre backs. Also he could have recalled Charles and kept Edwards to give himself more options in defence.
-
When we signed him, Juric said his best position is the one Fernandes plays in --- which is just weird , given that Fernandes is one of our best players. So unless Fernandes gets injured, groenboek will have to be really good to get in the side. What we needed and still need is a striker.
-
Suspect you mean Tranmere Rovers. Stockport is 'a local derby' for the Manchester clubs π
-
The only way I'm coping with this bloody awful period on our history is by pretending we're playing a run of pre-season friendlies before starting in the championship in 25/26. Results don't matter, and we're seeing various different players trying out in unfamiliar positions to gain fitness. Plus Juric appears to be going for a record number of full backs on the pitch at once. π

Read somewhere that he's been used in midfield as well as defence? I could see him being a success as a defensive midfielder. He's naturally defensive but is a bit short for a centre back. So with him and Shea Charles behind Fernandes, that's our midfield sorted for next year.
-
Yeah But he still played a goalkeeper in goal. Really old-fashioned. Reckon we could put another full back there. π
