Don't really see Archer as a lone striker, any more than Armstrong. But here's hoping I'll be proved wrong. I'd have preferred Stewart with archer alongside, with Azaz behind them.

Do we know for certain which, if any, of the new signings were registered in time to play today? I know when they were announced officially but presumably that was some time after they'd signed. Obviously if they were available they'd probably only be on the bench.

That's one of the problems with being a football supporter. We think we know a player because we watch him week after week. We sing his name. Kids hero worship him. But in fact most of them are a) pretty thick (with some exceptions) and b) greedy, and influenced by even greedier agents..... with no real loyalty to a club. Best never to meet them! 😉

As always, it will probably come down to money .... wages and 'commission' to his agent He comes from Birmingham so has no attachment to Middlesborough presumably, so moving south may be a plus too.

Is it just me or is bazunu looking better without having to play backwards and forwards with the centre backs like he had to under Martin? He seems to be clearing with more authority.

That's the thing about Stephens. He is a competent championship CB but he thinks he is much better than he is, and gets carried away, believing he can do things in possession that he can't ..... hence the frequent risk-taking cock ups.
