    Will Still

Not uncommon to be uncut is it? Thought mostly an American/religious thing. 4/10?
  2. Cheers. Withdraw the assertion accordingly.
  3. Dont blame the whistle-blower lads! Granted ive relied on the mantra that 'your eyes don't lie to you', but I thought some bright spark had previously put the stats out there to prove it? I haven't checked the credibility of the source here, so assume this is nonsense? I stand corrected, and hereby drop 'the worst' comment, and replace with 'not particularly good'. According to FBREF, Bazunu is statically the worst stopper of any of the 46 goalkeepers who have played a Championship game this season. When comparing the number of goals conceded to the number of goals expected from the shots faced (xGC), Bazunu has let in 11.1 more goals than would be anticipated based on the quality of attempts. The next worst is Hull City’s Ryan Allsop, having conceded 8.5 goals more than he statistically should have. Worryingly, this is not an anomaly. In Bazunu’s debut season for Southampton in the Premier League last campaign, the 22-cap Ireland international ranked the worst of any goalkeeper to play eight or more top flight games, conceding 16.6 more goals than he would have been expected to.
  4. Frustrating to come out of the window with the worst keeper in the division as our number 1. I guess Still knows he's dump, but he seems juiced in for some reason. All a bit of a mystery as to how/why. When a routine save gets made it's dressed up as vindication, which all points to the delusion.
  5. I'd double check the definition of 'irrational' before telling others to 'shut the fuck up' as you delightfully put it. Based on recent experience in respect of recruitment, and noting our current 2nd tier predicament versus previous consistent top flight status, in what way is expressing concern 'illogical and lacking reason'? Asking for a friend.
  6. Told you 2 years ago he was good
  7. We only conceded 2 less goals than a relegated side last time in the Championship. Baz should be the 3rd choice keeper. 'FIRST INTERVIEW' posted on YouTube! Fking hell. Depressing times.
  8. The club just feels a bit 'rotten'. The level of decline in less than 10yrs seems pretty crazy really. Didn't Puel get the boot for 8th in the prem and a cup final?! And now we're sat watching this shite! And not to mention during that period we've also been completely surpassed by clubs down here that used to play in front of 5k like Brighton and the cherries... I do like Still though, and wish him well. But if I were him I'd be looking at this group of players and be nervous that my job relied on them.
  9. Would only have been £35m if he wore his socks up high...nothing screams 'potential' more than low socks and having a sulk on. Good business.
  10. Ref gagging to ride Reynolds cock tonight
  11. Not necessarily on topic here...but curious how many people out there go home and away for a full season? Or perhaps at least set out to, and only miss a game from illness or some family crap that they feel obligated to attend? Is this still a thing nowadays? Keen to give it a go.
  12. Not been an avid follower of Lens this season....is this dude another 'philosophy' wanker? Anyway, like a classic Vegas mug punter steaming in on red because it's been black 10 times in a row, surely we're due a good one now?
  13. Do we still love the cherries? Any regrets about putting money in the buckets to save them when they couldn't pay their bills? I'm torn these days. Pretty beastly to call me a scummer after all the love shown. I guess they've all dropped their second clubs these days?
  14. Not a massive scoreline admittedly, but the 3 nil up at halftime against Tranmere, lose 4-3 was fcking repulsive. That took a few days to get over if i remember. Immune to the beatings now. And the sadest thing is no-one else really mentions it either - media, or mates etc. Just expected!
  15. Couldn't even score after Spurs completely gave up. Commentator made me laugh when they described our style as the 'passive press'. What the fck is that exactly?! Stand off and get a hiding?
  16. It would be just our luck that they'll sack him, and then we'll lose to whoever he's managing in next season's playoff final. That level of skepticism represents a new low - even for me.
  17. “I don't know what more I can give the players to make them really believe”. Leave?
  18. I actually think he escapes abuse in the ground because of Russball in a way. Just as the style of it sucks the atmosphere out of the stadium, it seems to put the individual into a trance like state of apathy, almost docile - like you have simply given up. I think the most 'prepared' I could be to receive life changing negative news is either in St Mary's or as I walk to the car. Up until a few weeks ago it would turn to anger when listening to 5 live on the way home. But even that has faded now.
  19. Brentford slot in a 4th...But we have unrealistic expectations, and should invest in the process of getting dicked every week.
  20. There could be something in that for everyone. It may eventually have the desired result of getting him out of here, and he can then run with the narrative of being ahead of his time, they don't understand me and the project, tortured genuis etc etc.
  21. This whole 'build' / 'project' thing is really odd - but fits the arrogance of the individual concerned I guess. Being utterly incompetent at something, but referring to it in terms of a project that's perhaps beyond the intellectual capability of us mere mortals to grasp. Passing it out from the back, repeatedly making mistakes, and losing football matches isn't a project.
  22. Looking at the other shite down at the bottom, I don't think we were nailed on to go down from the outset - certainly odds against at the bookies. It's become a certainty because of him. He talks about bravery, and the brave thing to have done would have been to thank him for his efforts and part company after the Leeds game. What's happening now has gone from being infuriating, to laughable, to just bizarre.
  23. What's up with that bell end brighton manager? Get your head out your arse, it wasn't too long ago you were playing in a car park.
  24. 'We're doing it our own way'. There's nothing really unique about getting spanked every week. So I guess he must mean the knocking around the back until we make a mistake bit. Some 'project' that, cheers pal.
  25. I suppose there may be a few legitimate scenarios where a team is best price 1/7 to go down in November and it not be fair to reach the conclusion that 'the manager's shit'. Putting aside the repugnant style of football and the occasional disagreeable personality traits in this instance of course - as that may not be fair in forming an objective view here. Hmmm, tricky one. Could take some time to put together a compelling argument.
