  1. I didn't wear socks yesterday, therefore it is officially uncool.
  2. We are a CB, Wide Player and a Striker away from being competitive.
  3. I suspect: Boruc Clyne Yoshida Fonte Bertrand Wanyama Taider Tadic S Davis Ramirez Pelle if Schneiderlin is fit physically and mentally he'll come in for Taider. Not sure I'd blood a new centre back in this fixture although we do need one.
  4. Its somewhere between a 2012/13 and 2013/14 season for me. We are in better shape than when we came up but not as good as the start of last season. that said, we'll be facing a Liverpool side with a good few changes as well.
  5. Can we play the lights 12 hours of Talksport? Guaranteed they will be dimmer as a result.
  6. I am hoping that part of any contract we offer young Jack includes a gagging clause on Alan 'tyro league pushy dad type' Cork.
  7. We missed Lallana's creativity and fluidity today, appreciate that might not be a popular opinion.
  8. He defended well, passed badly.
  9. Certainly reasons to be cheerful. Defensively ok although Yoshida constantly gave the ball away. Attacking, some of the same flair from last year without the understanding. so to the new boys. Betrand, solid defensively and did get forward but didn't push on much into the final third. He's quick and should be good enough. If you like Clyne on the right, you'll be ok with him. Tadic, the fella looks utter class. Touches, vision and delivery are there to see. Once everyone gets on his wavelength he should be very productive. Held position on the right (and on the left for last 30) a lot more than Lallana. Pelle, he's huge. Touch is ok but didn't show anything to suggest he's going to get 15 goals this term without a strike partner or exceptional service. Taïder, bit of a cameo, looked bright and busy and probably did more than JWP. The others. Boruc, not much to do, decent distribution with one poor kick Clyne, solid Fonte, getting better with age and responsibilty Yoshida, stopper at best, gives away possession to easily Wanyama, strolled it, huge difference when he plays JWP, a little bit missing for me. S Davis, solid shift as always Isgrove, has pace and gets in good positions, looks a bit lightweight and make bad decisions for this level right now. Ramirez, lots of effort. Does the difficult things well, ****s up the simple things. Cork, ususal solid performance Mayuka, pacey but ****e use of promising situations, this generations Jonno Quick. We'll be ok this year, Koeman has them trying to attack quicker and not as much emphasis on ball retention or pressing, a bit long ball if anything, they need a few games to gel and we haven't got a prayer at Anfield without Schneiderlin.
  10. If Spurs had / do put in a decent bid we will sell him. £10m is way below his value. I don't think we should be bullied into to selling him for a cut price fee given he has 3 years left on his deal.
  11. The Great Escape
  12. I understand some fans made a virtual donation to the fund to secure the last 20%
  13. Snatch Never say never again the colour of money gone in 60 seconds the thin red line
  14. Back to topic, I hope Urug Gaston Ramirez does well for us this year.
  15. Nope, but definitely a Saint. Having just sorted out his user account.
  16. In fairness to Sidney FP 3rd, he is a Saints fan.
  17. I am sending them virtual congratulations.
  18. Spoke to someone today who knows Gaston. Said that he fell out with Poch pre season last year, hence why his game time was limited. Will be interested to see whether we see his full talent under Koeman.
  19. £5m from Swansea, strong money for a squad player in the last year of his contract.
  20. Our season ended last year when Boruc broke his hand. At that point we were third and 1-0 up against Chelsea.
  21. Just maybe those in the club think he is not good enough? Right now I reckon he'd be behind Morgan, Vic, Taider, Jwp and possibly Reed for that CM spot.
  22. That could be the one we didn't see coming.
  23. Any fans of other clubs reading SWF would conclude Lambert, would have been sold to the glue factory Lallana, decent player for 65 minutes with a powder puff shot Shaw, rampant addiction to Burger King and can't cross for toffee Lovren, great for 10 games and would be lost without Big Vic and Mad Artur
