  1. They can't afford me.
  2. We would back to square minus £8m
  3. Amazed we haven't been linked with Alex McCarthy. Seems perfect #2 and fits Les' profile.
  4. Amazing to think how England wasted Scholes' talent looking back. I rate JWP, he looks effortless and is a very bright boy.
  5. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51257-Boruc-Vs-Forster#.U9v65GK9KSM
  6. He can run.
  7. Breaking out this discussion from the transfer thread. If we were lucky enough to have both. Who would you select as #1? Personally for me it Boruc, top performer last season a couple of gaffs aside. Big figure in the dressing room and bat **** bonkers. oh and one of the best records in the league last year. http://www.manchesterlalala.com/best-goalkeepers-premier-league-2013-14/#.U9v51WK9KSM
  8. Boruc > Forster for me.
  9. Fair point on the GK. I have always maintained that Boruc is good enough, last season #2 probably wasn't good enough cover and #3 was shocking. Without his injuries we wouldn't have noticed. Haven't seen enough of the games to comment on the new system, think RK likes Isgrove for that position but given his inexperience I would imagine he'll look to fill that as well. take the emotion out of it, we could be technically the same / stronger albeit without the experience of playing together. I'd expect Saturday to be the team that starts against Liverpool.
  10. As I see it Bertrand Tadic = Lallana Pelle > Lambert Lovren, Chambers & Osvaldo to replace. At least 1x CB is required to replace Lovren, don't mind Yoshi as a 3rd choice. We don't really need to replace at RB to Chambers' level as he wasn't 1st choice + we have McCarthy and Cork who can play there. Hope we'll see more of Gaston this year so it's only really a striker and obligatory goalkeeper we need. In summary then we need a GK, CB and CF to be level with last year, anything else in addition is a bonus.
  11. As evidenced by the surprise that was the Bertrand deal.
  12. Any normal business would spread the revenue of season tickets across a normal 12 month accounting period. Watch the 2014/15 money his the 12th month of the 2013/14 accounts.
  13. Please wander back to topic at your leisure.
  14. Positionally he made the odd error. Stoke at home springs to mind. 99% of the time his electric pace Baled him out (pun intended) and as a result, defensively he was / is superb.
  15. I disagree. I think Spurs will start like a train and will be there or thereabouts depending when the inevitable fade caused by injuries and punishing style comes in.
  16. Link to the Spurs site, good find. http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/showthread.php/6222-ITK-Thread/page46
  17. Jordan Sibley
  18. Loan is decent news for us, he's now the one player the board can't sell.
  19. Jim Ratcliffe again hey! Shame he is a Utd fan http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/9318986c-8ec2-11e3-b6f1-00144feab7de.html#axzz38zFFCKQD
  20. Fair play to Neil Jones at The Mirror, guess Ben Davies was preferred. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/mauricio-pochettino-haunt-southampton-again-3633022
  21. CL finalist 2 years ago. Prepared to give him a chance. A one year loan with option to buy is an affair not a marriage.
  22. This was buried in the transfer thread so copied it here. Given the Inter selfie from Osvaldo this looks very likely. Good result for us IMHO
  23. £13m for Schneiderlin? **** taking *****s.
  24. Will stick up a poll just before season kicks off.
  25. Agree 100%. Still, Ralph appears to have grown a set of balls at last so lets enjoy this line in the sand for a few days.
