  1. Thread of the Month! I am going for Raul, with the Dagger, in the Library.
  2. Clampitt looks like he has caught the Storrie bug, "they promised they would agree after the contract was sigfned". Guess none of the commercial legends at Pompey thought to insert it IN the contract? http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Portsmouth-Football-Club-Statement-1179.aspx
  3. Thank you for saving me the trouble of having to read it all!
  4. Didn't one of the takeover fantasists last year have Henrik Laarson as their Marquee signing? Edit : IIRC it was Tommac
  5. I hear TCWTB pays himself national minimum wage and remainder in Image rights now.
  6. Interesting to read the past 6 odd pages. The comfort for me is that those who went to the game (and I would assume are the type that attend home and away) don't seem that phased by result. We were lacking some creation in midfield, tried some players in different positions and seemed to be able to perform best when the experimenting stopped. The fact is Pardew will want to try things, when better to do it in late July when it doesn't actually matter? Reading next week will be a different test but as others have said, the true test is August 7th.
  7. I assume the Spuds have a sell on clause as well!
  8. We had a 3rd shirt until 2008. Don't rule it out!
  9. Any update on this yet? Going by last years form it will be 18th July unless anyone decides to sell one on Ebay. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4495619.Saints_kit_launch_brought_forward_after_eBay_leak/
  10. 1976Child, Send me your paypal address and I'll stick a fiver in so you can leave compensated.
  11. Good to see Boateng's value go up a bit, should improve the creditors mediocre chances of ever seeing a penny.
  12. A number of interesting points: - They paid Eugene Bopp, even though they were barred from signing him IIRC. - Are the sums owed to players wages or image rights? If the former then the amount of tax / NI increases, if the latter then I note that these are directly attributabe to the players (not a trust) and therefore would also incur NI dedcutions. - AA will become liquidator and investigate.....
  13. I am prepared to give Burley the benefit of the doubt in respect of his tenure here. To put into context, he had to contend with: Reporting to a Rugby Coach 3 Different Chairman Loss of parachute payment Having to sell on talent (Bale, Walcott, Niemi, Baird, TC Kenwyne Jones) The thing I can never forgive him for is just the way he gave up on us.
  14. replace 'HMRC' with 'football creditors' and it suddenly becomes legal??? Hence why HMRC could win that part of their argument as well.
  15. I thought it was 75% of unsecured creditors??
  16. Their new centre forward?
  17. We would be mad to leave SMS at this point in time. Despite the huge bank balance of ML there has to be an element of self funding in any move. Just look at the financial drain the Emirates has put on Arsenal in recent years. SMS with a gradual expansion of more seats and improvement in infrastructure (such as bolting a railway platform to the railway track that runs alongside FFS) would deliver our needs medium to long term. Fully prepared to review this stance when we qualify for the Champions League.
  18. LMFAO, Griffins are obviously looking at the Skates previous behaviour in trousering the VAT! Non-white pots and kettles spring to mind.
  19. Can you confirm it will land as well? Maybe a little pedantic, but it's always best to check these things.
  20. tbf I'd rather he posted there than here.
  21. Ok, make sure you mention you are going to a rival firm at the end of your notice. Most companies will then stick you in the garden.* * Just ask Corp-Ho
  22. Skacel?
  23. are you going to a competitor?
  24. The club do have an installment plan, just buy a ticket for evry game and spread the payments across the season.
