  1. Kelvin 7 - Not a huge amount to do came for crosses well, kicking was average. Harding 8 - Had to come on to left foot too much but matched their dangerous #10 stride for stride. Jaidi 7 - Solid in the air. A little ponderous on the floor. Fonte 9 - Pure class, only thing missing was a pipe and slippers, he has that much time. Mills 7 - Did what he had to, not much going forward. Wotton 6 - Didn't add much going forward, thought he protected CB's ok. Hammond 7 - Lively and covered a lot of ground, not pretty today but good job. Antonio 8.5 - They couldn't play him today, scared of his pace. Papa 6.5 - Frustrates the hell out of me, not even he knows what he is going to do. Lallana 8 - In and out as our focal point seemed to be right hand side. Took goal well and was neat on the ball. Lambert 8.5 - Led the line well, Scored one, assist another and the cross he sent over eventually led to the 3rd. With him in the side we always have goals in us. Gilett 7 Connoly 7 Perry (1 minute)
  2. I was thinking FA Cup Final next season!
  3. There were a few boos, but also quite a few more cheers.
  4. Great day out, Great Support and Great result. We should make Wembley a regular venue for us.
  5. The irony of the Pompey saga is that the truth that is gradually emerging is funnier than anything we could make up. I see it has gone very quiet on the buying front. Potential cynics on here may question whether Baloo's plan was always to buy back the club having freed it of a bit of Tax and supplier debt. What price a cheap deal with AA that looks at 30p in the pound but Son of a Gun Run gets a hefty fee for the land? "What about the points deduction that would incur though" I hear our fishy friends cry. Well lads, it was never about football and your squalid ****ty little club is being used as a public vehicle to shift cash. The plan is actually genius, Football clubs are awash with cash and poor governence - who'd notice another basket-case club when surrounded by so many others.
  6. Reasons to be cheerful: As an indirect tax, fuel duty and VAT are easy to collect for the government (Unless you are PFC and see it as revenue). The roads will be clearer and thus less start stop and better economy. I am looking to buy a gas guzzling 4x4 so that market will return to pre-snow panic levels. It may prompt a quicker move to alternative fuels. Due to the pounds Zim like collapse we may have some fuel tourism from our European brothers putting money into our coffers.
  7. Fernando!!!!
  8. No, would be delighted to be proved wrong though.
  9. I seriously doubt it. It's the polite business way of saying thanks but no thanks. If thjey wanted to keep him on that salary, they would have retained him full time.
  10. If we were really in trouble, Tommy Forecast?
  11. Very funny comeback, fairplay fella!
  12. Potentially the first ever thread to be moved from The Lounge to the Main Board! IMHO, nice to see the club has ambition.
  13. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,12040_6018319,0.html AA has clearly allowed Storrieteller to fall on his sword and exit with some 'dignity'. Suits all parties as AA cuts him of the wage bill and Storrie avoids a binning. Actually quite gutted the c*** has gone as he was so bad for them!
  14. Squaddie in **** behaviour shocker.
  15. At least in your dream we don't concede a late goal for someone to moan about for weeks afterwards.
  16. and not 1 Internal Auditor I bet.
  17. And they never will. They and their now Persil smelling money are long gone.
  18. Personally, and if you have no kids to transport or luggage to haul, I would say get yourself that Boxster.
  19. Could I venture, just potentially, that maybe, it might be, possibly Fuglers?
  20. Andy in the Western Cape, and I'll be drinking Dom Perignon if we make the play-offs.
  21. Being really selfish I'd love a 4th so I can go to bed. am +2 GMT and have to be up at 0630 for Golf tomorrow :-)
