Have to say after today's game I do not want them liquidated. Although we lost we won't get a special atmosphere like that again at St Mary's, we won't all watch the cup draw with so much enthusiasm and we won't ever get to celebrate like we did when Ricky scored. So Skates, I wish you to limp along (actually flounder is better and more apt) so I can take my young son to days like this again sometime soon.

First, you don't know what I spend or how much I travel. But given your location there is a fair chance you may be correct. I really don't get this better fan rubbish. Secondly you spend a four page whore of a thread last week stating that you can't get a ticket and you are an uber fan and really deserve one, then when a number of kindly hearted people offer to help the flights suddenly become a bit tricky. It did scream a little of 'look at me'. I think people would be kinder to you if you: a) Didn't start threads everytime you wished to post. b) Didn't mention you lived in LA every other time. c) Didn't recomend MLS players, we are a UK L1 side and we have plenty of choice on this little island. d) Didn't make yourself out to be a better fan than everyone else on here. Your nagging point about late goals is relevant and I happen to agree with you on it for most of the season, although today I have never been prouder to go down the way we did. You are suffering from posters on here playing you, not your posts. When everyone else on the whole thread is saying it mate, maybe it is time to have a look in the mirror. The good news for you is that you are Saints fan, and thus you cannot ever be a bad man.

We showed more class and we also showed passion. Last year we would have given up at 1-0 or try to hold out at 1-1. We never looked out of it until the 3rd goal. Never thought I would feel 'ok' after losing to the Skates 4-1 but so proud of the fans, players and club today.

Not really, you can't say look at me. Where were you for the game today Tim?

Stranger things have happened

Paragraph 22 deals with the fact that the directors or the company themselves cannot plaice the club into admin. This wouldn't preclude another creditor (and there are a few) forcing them in into admin. *and yes the typo was deliberate.

Pardew is on a three year deal. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1200299/Alan-Pardew-appointed-Southampton-boss.html

Another 4 weeks of fun on this thread though.

I believe they can go into Admin tomorrow, yes

It wouldn't happen on here ;-)

The Banker, a mythical figure who nobody has even seen and does his business via a weasley little man? - sorry that was owner #3 Ali Al Mirage.
-
The issue Portsmouth will have is that most people with money usually have it because they don't waste it on flawed business ventures. As other posters have noted, why pay £30-£100m? when you can pick it up for circa £10m when they slip into admin. Up until a couple of months there was reason, Premiership football, but now even this 'asset' will be lost. Saints were lucky, our new owner is generous but not mad. He bought the club at a good price and has not bet the farm on having to hit the Prem. I'd be interested to see DP's view of potential owner #5.

If they go pop we get a bye which is worth far more. If they go into admin we can simply deduct from their share of the gate receipts or borrow John Utaka for 11 days. In a business sense the opposition have put an extra 10k supporters on the door and £250k from TV coverage IIRC, so we are covered either way.

They are making a film of this seasons events: Four Owners and a Funeral.
-
To be fair at least they managed nil tonight, they'd kill for that to be their bank balance.
-
Remind me how such Sasha is owed this month, oh yes - £9m. As my two year-old would say, snap! I wonder if he will get paid out before the club goes pop? Chanrai picks up the stadium as the secured creditor and the taxman, staff and football creditors get nothing. Their loan signings today are nothing more than fools drinking Champagne on the deck of the Titanic whilst the Gaydamarks speed off with the remaining loot in the last available lifeboat.

If we lose Lambert it is season over. Hammond is missed but Rickie is irreplaceable in current squad.

Cynical... Not many modern day footballers attend college to better themselves and donate proceeds from their record to Haiti appeal.
-
They wanted to allow Barnard to score easily to boost his confidence.

He is into to his music. Perhaps we can get Craig David to seal the deal for us?
-
Perhaps. I am told our wage offer was a fair bit better than what he was on at Palace. He did however give us a figure he would accept, and we didn't agree to it.
-
As I understand: We bid for Danns at same time as Fonte. Bid #1 declined Bid #2 accepted Danns had talks with us and passed a medical but didn't agree our offer. I would imagine that our offer, which was accepted pre-admin for Palace was more generous than what the administrators would accept (the best they can get). That was mid January and I have not spoken to the person who told me all this since then. Speculating, it may be that the administrator will now accept a revised Saints lower offer for the transfer fee and we can then offset this discount against Danns' wage demands. If Saints were happy with a figure for the TCO (Total cost of ownership) 2 weeks back then they may have re-visited given that we could now give Danns what he wanted for the same outlay. I note we have since purchased Puncheon and this might render all of what I have said obsolete.

Cheers. I was recording the game to watch later. Have avoided every major news site, Radio 5 etc. but you felt the need to post it on this thread!

Typical Peter Storrie, he can't even manage to resign correctly.
-
He could have joined us, it was his choice not to agree our offer.
