  1. Did he lash out at the offender?
  2. My Palace supporting mate reckons he is "Solid Championship player". If true, it is good we can attract this type of player.
  3. Corrected it for you.
  4. I hope they insisted on cash or credit card.
  5. I would be amazed if any did. Players like Utaka on 80k a week would not get half that even as a free agent.
  6. Genius move by Sheikh #1. Pass your debt and liability on to a bunch of potless fans and look like the good guy! They will really have 'their' club back then!
  7. At the arse end of the biggest recession in history who the fook would even pay that for a spot of land next to a railway depot? I agree. They are almost certainly gone! Now, are they going relaunch as AFC Portsmouth or Pompey FC?
  8. Post of the year so far.
  9. I think he was being sarcastic / ironic.
  10. And have the Fratton 4-1 debacle as the last ever score against them, no thank you - we have unfinished business.
  11. Just waiting for Storrie to say their debt is 10% of United's. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1240226/Glazer-family-want-600m-bond-cut-Manchester-Uniteds-massive-debt.html
  12. In contrast we sold out the last game at The Dell ;-)
  13. Ocean Finance Park
  14. Does any one remember the final scene in The Commitments where Wilson Pickett actually turns up after a whole film length of doubt? Knowing our luck I'll be watching Sky Sports News on deadline day and Riquelme to the Skates will be the 11pm shock transfer.
  15. Maybe they will, Maybe be they won't. Irrespective they will probably still get relegated. Interesting point in that article about naming rights for Fratton Park. That could be a whole Golden Thread of it's own with helpful suggestions from TSW.
  16. Correct, Barclays own ABSA
  17. They had a loan from Standard Bank of £24m IIRC. Not sure if this was paid back or refinanced. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-face-pound-25million-debt-crisis-article32475.html
  18. "If the players' salaries fail to arrive on Tuesday then the squad will have the option of serving a mandatory 14 days notice to terminate their contracts."
  19. In answer to the OP's question, no they didn't ever comment. Trust Saints fans to find the cloud in a silver lining!
  20. Good post. The coaches who work with him every day think he has what it takes to be a pro and I think they are better placed to judge than most.
  21. Cheeky beggar only paid £1 to buy the club. Fans to issue winding up petition for remaining 50p.
  22. Google 'Cudicini Motorcycle' for a possible explanation.
  23. Highly sceptical based on this sentence alone. Not even Lord Mahwindbag has this power
  24. Will they last the season? (By that I mean Winter)
  25. But isn't also true that if a Winding Up Petition is served and they go into administration then Lens are likely only to recieve a few pence in the pound so why would they do that. Surely it is better to sue so to try get the money off them. Not at all. A law suit simply determines that the debt is payable, Lens will have a contract that already proves this, hence they can serve a stautory demand. A winder forces them to pay the debt of be wound up as a company Even if they wound up Pompey they would still be behind any secured creditor. You are correct in your ascertion that Lens would get f'all pence in the pound
