Would make it a drinking game, but it would be liver failure for all comers.

Wait until you see Onuachu in goal. Martin truly is one step ahead.
-
I can't.... Just..... What? We cannot defend. We cannot attack. The only reason he is still here is because sacking him is pricey. I know this for a fact. His contract extension was a contractual obligation on promotion, not an endorsement of his horrifying style. Are you on something!? Or just delusional.

"Keep a good shape, be difficult to break down." Words used by Tamworth's manager tonight that are alien to Russell 'Fucking Genius' Martin. God help us.
-
This He is forcing able players into a system that kills them.
-
How spoilt we were then, having a manager who could set up a team to defend and do the basics correctly. Let's face it, we havn't been able to do that since, so that's seven years and counting.
-
Ugh. Great(!)
-
Or, take a leaf out of these FC Magdeburg fan's books.
-
Seeing the players body language, the individual errors, the inability to show anything other then an attempt at sticking to Martin's terrible dogma. The are trying, but deep down. They don't believe in it. It's just utterly tragic.
-
Ricardo Fuller another one. Extremely unfairly maligned, essentially kept us in the Championship at the back end of 2006.
-
The sentiment applies, i'm being too precise.

Wouldn't even call them fair. More patronising.

So very nice for Match of the Day to give us some tactical analysis and to be complimentary. Quite rare. But to do so pushes an agenda that over-writes the fact that we could have lost by 4-5 if Haaland had not had an off-day. They were right to highlight poor decision making in the final third as a deciding factor, because that is the flip side of the coin with Russball. We fundamentally cannot defend and cannot make chances. As a footballing entity, we are ineffective. The stats table they showed for Ipswich in the prior game, show that for us as well please...... Call them doomed, then praise us? Be consistent lads.

I was praising him for having slightly altering his set up to take us to promotion. I was delighted that he had shown some adaptability. The arrogant prick instead has taken our promotion success as an opportunity to double down on his original flawed ideas.
-
I have no issue with managers backing their players in difficult circumstances. I have a huge issue with him clearly disappearing up his own arse in the process. There was nothing 'aggressive' about that.
-
He truly does believe his own bullshit.

I couldn't get excited for it today. Bore fest is right, it's just not fun.

No possession stats, no validity. #Russball4eva
-
It's fine, Russ has us primed to outplay City at their own game, in their own back yard with hopelessly inferior players. Bloke's a genius.
-
Rory Delap. Buy a long throw specialist, with Peter Crouch and Beattie at hand and never use him. (Aside from once I think.)
-
I mean, football is a game of opinions. No-one ever said they had to be grounded in any sense of sanity.
-
I know that the financial implications are stopping us getting rid of him. This is one of the rarest of rare situations where I know something useful, and no, I cannot say how I know it. Sorry to be a tease.
-
So, it needs to be someone up and coming with potential. Essentially someone like Martin, but who has actually achieved something first and shows they can set up a defence. It would be tempting to look at someone like Mark Robbins or maybe even Rob Edwards.
-
Almost more importantly at this stage, it will give us some hope. It will make following the team interesting rather then futile. And from the club's perspective; Lose the fans, lose even more revenue.

The phrase your are looking for is 'f*cking abject.' Christ, what are they putting in the water over there?
