  1. A few generalisations but an otherwise excellent read. I've had a few overseas colleagues ask about us knowing I am a Southampton fan, our exposure is growing and anything to put us in perspective in foreign media can only be positive.
  2. Was also the worst player on the pitch. (My source was less then reputable)
  3. I had heard Smalling.
  4. Yep, Who is the rat?
  5. Dad still gets the program, even though it no longer fits the folders (he is seething over that! Never mind Saints ale costing £4 that's his bugbear...) and he has not mentioned it.
  6. Oh cheers!
  7. Not sure about the costs for replacement but was it bought by credit/debit card? The ticket office can reference the seat to the card used, if you have his details I can't see why you couldn't get it for him.
  8. I would say with cast iron certainty that there has never been a South Coast derby match without British born players featuring in the starting line ups. Even when the Skates were bloated with foreign mercenaries in that FA Cup game David James was in goal. In the last league fixtures two English players scored our goals, Lambert and Sharp.
  9. No, there's an international break in November.
  10. Yes, it's great enjoying the situation we are currently in but it is still early and we have a lot of work to do. I wouldn't want to risk jinxing things by being a little too over the top.
  11. Can't help but feel that articles like this could be setting us up for a bit of a fall!!
  12. YES! Gerrard! World cup here we come!!
  13. Ugh, Rooney you idiot, cutting inside when there was a man on the overlap.
  14. I don't suppose anyone had noticed that Italy were losing 1-2 at home to Armenia have they!? 2-2 now.
  15. What has it come to when you can no longer be a little suggestive on the main board.
  16. It's just the first season at League 1 level we're missing. A pity too as they had the highlights as a package at the Sash kit launch event the next summer. The footage and production work was essentially done!
  17. Who has Jack Stephens played for in his career? Remind me. He looks good in Charlton colours doesn't he. http://www1.skysports.com/football/player/5583/dale-stephens
  18. F*ck me Charlie, are you on a wind up!? Is this one of those Star Trek TNG 'Four Lights' scenarios!?
  19. And here is an article in the echo specifically referencing the photo you linked as Dale. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9030372.Dale_s_in_demand/?action=complain&cid=9366719 I had to research this delicately when we signed him to make sure I didn't get the news article for this website wrong, knowing we had just signed Jack, another Stephens, from Plymouth. Charlie, mate. You have it the wrong way round. Not me.
  20. No, they are really not! Dale played for Oldham (with the fatter face), Jack played for Plymouth (thinner face.) Dale has never played for Plymouth and Jack has never played for Oldham.
  21. Sorry, you are wrong mate. This is Dale Stephens (Pictured as an Oldham player prior to joining us) https://www.google.co.uk/#q=dale+stephens http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?172-saints-sign-dale-stephens This is Jack (during one of his appearances for Plymouth as a raw 16 year old):
  22. Sorry Charlie, just distracted by the former midfielder. I think they should be showing more around the first team if there are to make the grade. They have looked unconvincing and not especially confident in the u21 games i've seen. Worth giving time but I would expect them to be playing professionally at League 1/2 level in the future. I did believe that Jack Saville was a better prospect though and he's now ended up at Ebbsfleet on loan from Barnett. They can't all be a Shaw or Chambers.
  23. Isn't that Dale Stephens in the picture? Loaned from Oldham now at Charlton I believe.
  24. When you boil it down, that is essentially it. The first few episodes were however clumsily done as Fox ordered a second pilot, after that though it really gathers it's own momentum and developing the characters. Eventually the series ends with 'Heart of Gold' and 'Objects in Space,' two of my favourite TV episodes ever. It really frustrates me how this series was killed before it could fulfill it's promise. At least we got the brilliant film Serenity as a conclusion.
