  1. True I would see two men with essentially nothing to prove like Hiddink and Capello as not being the type to who this would appeal. A Laudrup? Yes.... An older stager? No.
  2. Why would Hiddink/Capello want to go there? All the Bale money has been spent, the dressing room is obviously not right after the large amount of new blood arriving, the Premier League is unusually open this year and the expectations of the club/fans is sky high. Tricky, tricky job and a potential hiding to nothing.
  3. Quell Surprise!!!!
  4. Quite right, I personally found our spell in the lower leagues humbling and enjoyable, it gave a refreshed perspective for enjoying higher league status when achieved while knowing how good the lower league community is. Populated by dignified clubs who have smaller but equally as passionate fanbases. We had to earn our way back out of those leagues, we were there for a reason as the Skates are down there now.... but of course it's not their fault, they have a divine right to be back up and on top of their peers. Until that attitude changes, until they show a little contrition then they can rot.
  5. Any religion can be twisted. The political fall-out after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the rogering issued to their former territories by the WW1 allies it's no wonder there is resentment between east and west, the use of religion by factions as an excuse to continue hostility is one of the oldest tricks in the book.
  6. Islam has no inherent problem with Christianity or Judaism as they hold a common root. We are all seen as believers in god and therefore part of the same greater community. What a load of agenda driven cr@p that post is. Born of ignorance and fueled by fear.
  7. Allardyce in pursuing long term target shocker. Not a chance mind, he is too valuable.
  8. There really should have been a randy b@stard category.
  9. Totally inappropriate comments regarding a minor.
  10. Well, compared to 12...... Have you remembered to do your homework ahead of school this week sonny?
  11. Gramps!? And it was my understanding the ITK poll was purely sarcastic! Hence my vote for Glasgow. Seriously.... Gramps!?
  12. Nutshell. As for LVP, like the **** award, it should be shared by a few people.
  13. Is it a £60 flat fine? Or £60 per day, etc Just be up front about it, accept the fine and carry on.
  14. Cheers for the info! If Monk doesn't win that though then I'll eat my hat. It's a small hat thankfully.
  15. Can the c**t of the year award be a shared accolade?
  16. In fairness I did chuckle, it was worth the wait!
  17. So if the Villa game had gone to plan then?
  18. Hadn't thought of it like that... like it!
  19. At the risk of being a pedantic bastard, I was under the impression you need a TV license to allow use of iPlayer... Be careful chap. Edit: Ah! No, relax!!
  20. Give it to Monk, he actually has knowledge. Cheers though.
  21. Ooooooo, nomination!
  22. Not yet. Statistically we are back where we were now after we got to the cup final and last season was our highest average ever with the exception of the season after the cup final. And yes, most people use the internet but not everyone does for match streaming, it surely isn't too far fetched that those who are more fanatical (those who use a football forum) would discuss it!
  23. Our crowds are as good now as they have ever been at St Mary's. Average crowds of 30,600 were the norm last time we were in the premier league and are back now.... I don't believe there is an issue. We are probably at the upper current limit of what our fanbase current is. The stadium is essentially full for all midsize games, the more popular teams are selling out. Those who want to go are going. I do not see an issue. A football club internet forum will naturally attract discussion for how those who use the internet can watch the team play!
  24. I think the key point here for many is watch 'every' game live. The away ones alongside the home. Knowing there are options to see these matches when they are quite readily selling out (or for those who simply don't want to trek a ten hour round trip to Newcastle) is just as relevant as those who would take the online viewing option rather then attending home games.
