Sh*t clearance, but holy hell, that finish, that phenomenal finish.
-
Ibrahimovic Hat-trick. 3-2. Probably the best performance a mass English audience has ever seen him produce.
-
I'm sure I would have back in the day, but now......?
-
How many caps now? (Awaits Swedish David....) The crosses for the goals where good, and the finishes. Still a little loose at the back but after half time we looked capable.

1. Get 'nom'ed. 2. 'Nom' everyone else. 3. Do not get cured and therefore no guilt, just pure Zombie mong state forever. (Like the mindset of a tech fanboy, but more blood and 'nom'ing.)

Getting ready to indiscriminately unload his sack everywhere?
-
England are playing just like Saints. No final ball and sh*t at the back.

Lets face it, it's probably the Freemasons isn't it, all conspiracy theories have to involve them somewhere.

It's funny in many reviews how they mark phones both simultaneous up and down based on size. + Massive Screen - Rather Big + Portable Size - Titchy Screen But then ergonomics, whilst technically a science can be rather subjective. It's so much about feel and perception. The New iPhone is a case in point, to many it feels solid and build from premium materials and is therefore reassuring, to others it can feel uncompromising and harsh, the 90 degree edges in it's form not appealing.

Saw that the other day, looks outstanding!
-
Oh, absolutely not, but I wouldn't wish what happened to them on any club. Of all the games in the second round, this one must be televised.
-
No amount of baby wipes and polish with a microfibre cloth is going to solve that....

Knowing the kind of lives some phones can live, no way I would want a second hand one!!

Ok, sharp not smart, but lets not split hairs, still a very positive assessment. And surely it would be a sharp move to move Saints in identical circumstances, no? And as for the creation of an AFC, you wouldn't complain, be unhappy? Even if the new club did everything it could to claim the history of the prior entity.... the entity you supported and put so much into? The point is that the Wimbledon fans didn't get a say, their club was struggling and it was purchased by someone who wanted to uproot it, they were not given a chance to save it themselves, the rug was pulled from under them. (There is also no way of saying for certain that the club would have folded while in South West London, it only finally went into administration after the plans to move were finalised, after the fans admitted defeat and withdrew their support for the franchise it had become and only after it had tried to survive at Champiosnhip level for several months on away attendances alone.) It set a horrifying precident, one that can no longer be followed thankfully.

Well, you described it as a smart move. If there was a town up country larger then Southampton that would have been able to provide a brighter future it would surely also be considered in the same light, no?
-
I've no doubt the move for Arsenal was controversial, but it is in no way the same as going from South West London to an entirely fabricated new town which already had a club. Did the existing Woolwich fans set up a new club? If yes then all credit to them and I wish them well. If they didn't then there obviously wasn't as big a deal in moving them a comparatively short distance at a time when football was still embryonic within the public mindset. - Something which was obviously not the case for the original Wimbledon. If Milton Keynes had deserved a league club then the town should have got behind their existing team that Pete Winkleman's farce killed off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milton_Keynes_City_F.C. I'm glad saints didn't relocate to a move profitable part of the country when we were on our knees. Looks like you would have been more then supportive!

Yes PES, this thread ran it's course last week, despite the PST takeover having not completed, or truly progressed in any way. You are a pitiful cornered animal.

Just got one for a relative for Christmas. Any recommended apps for it? Have to say, for the money and ease of use, an impressive bit of kit!
-
No, I do not, but Arsenal did not move conurbations, just the side of the river and as far as I am aware, didn't kill the existing club and another one where it moved to. Had Wimbledon FC had been liquidated it would have been the same difference, at least they wouldn't have been hurried on their way.
-
Individually I'm sure they are probably not. But as an entity they are an utter abomination. If Milton Keynes was meant to have a league football club it should have grown organically from the Milton Keynes FC that were driven out of business by the franchise. Wimbledon died to bring league football to that town, thank heavens the rules have changed to stop it happening again. The people as ****s? Not in isolation, the entire club? Oh yes.

If chosing now, I would go with the Google Nexus 4, i'm delighted with my S3, but what you get for the cash with that phone is astonishing.
-
That is quite laughable. Mind games at best, being a **** at worst.

Liverpool's method always used to be interesting, sign up promising lads aged 19-20, give them a year in the reserves to learn Liverpool's way of playing and then bring them into the first team once they are up to speed. Ian Rush from Chester, Keegan from S****horpe, Alan Hansen from Partick Thistle, Again, there were exceptions (Phil Neal, wonder if we can find a 4th tier defender that could fit straight in.....) but a player shouldn't be written off simply because they do not make an immediate impact.

Nail on head. The culture of win above all at youth levels only serves to damage our national team and domestic players. It encourages the promotion of youngsters who can win games due to physicality and physique above skill, many kids do not physically mature until they are 18-21 yet they are written off before the full picture is known. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule but players that have dropped out for being 'too small,' Kevin Phillips, Dennis Wise.... from our own youth system no less are proof. It's a blessing that we are looking at things beyond the results of 90 minutes in these games, one off games where the team is actually weakened due to it's success in promoting it's better players through. That our academy is consistently successful is the main thing, not the one off game last night.
